We found the 'Jewels' nestled in the hillside overlooking San Miguel, above the hustle & bustle but still in Historic Centro. In fact, just next door to the million dollar estate of Pedro Vargas and across the street from the former home of 'Cantiflas', Mexico's favorite comedian/actor of the past. Just a few doors from El Mirador (the city's famous lookout), you needn't come up just for a view of the city, you will have that view from the Jewels, all day, every day. Not from the rooftop, but from inside the suites. Just blocks from the Jardin & above Juarez Park. From the moment you enter the entry way into the 'Jewels of San Miguel', you are transported from the colorful streets of San Miguel through the manicured garden - lush with evergreens, flowers and a trickling fountain...all sheltered by an overhanging 100+ year old Mesquite tree with the 'Jewel' pendant hanging over the central courtyard. The gardens and fountains are beautifully illuminated at night providing the 'setting' if you will, for each 'jewel'. Uncompromising attention to detail was given to this majestic property by the previous owner (one of San Miguel's finest architects). Using only the finest materials, master artisans have skillfully crafted your 'home away from home.'
