Overlooking the crystal clear water of the quarry lake and set on the borders of the Lake District, Yorkshire Dales and the Forest & Trough of Bowland, you are sure to enjoy the hot tub spa, sauna and high spec luxury of the interior and spectacular views. Designed and built in 2017 to be eco-friendly, the house was built using materials that reduces its carbon footprint, installed with underfloor heating throughout, solar panels, wildflower sky garden, Canadian standard insulation, super efficient Valiant boiler, smart meters, eco friendly water tap and the ultimate super fast optical B4RN Internet. Jackdaw Retreat is a luxury holiday home close to the village of Over Kellet on the borders of Lancashire, Yorkshire and Cumbria. Being pet friendly, it is the perfect holiday home for the WHOLE family in an idyllic location. Equally it is the perfect place for a romantic stay for couples , new parents, hen parties, walking groups On the lower level there are 2 superking bedrooms, both with built-in wardrobe space and bifold doors out to the balcony area where the hot tub, sauna and outdoor shower and sun loungers await. The master bedroom features mood lighting and a boutique-style wet room. There is also a luxurious bath & shower room on this level. The large utility room also on this lower ground floor is well equipped and provides excellent laundry and drying facilities perfect for those that enjoy outdoor activities or those making use of the adjoining dive centre. On the ground floor level is a stylish kingsize bedroom with bifold doors out to the front decking area with its wheelchair access. There is also a large shower room with sink and wc serving this level. Both these rooms are suitable for wheelchair access, as indeed is the impressive large open plan lounge/kitchen. With its set of bifold doors leading out to to the balcony area, it provides a very stylish living space with stunning views across the lake to the surrounding hills of the Yorkshire Dales and Lake District. The comfortable lounge has 2 large sofas, TV sound bar and electric stove. The bespoke kitchen area has Neff and Siemens appliances, wine cooler fridge and Quooker steam tap. There is also a contemporary office/work space equipped with desk, and TV/monitor and amazon echo to assist you in planning your stay A unique bespoke dining table seats 8 and can be positioned in front of the bifold doors overlooking the lake and hills, making a dinner party or just a meal that little bit special. For outside space, the home boasts not only 2 covered balconies overlooking the lake but also a large decking area and summerhouse to the front. This area is wheelchair friendly with table and chairs and a great place to enjoy a gin & tonic watching the sunsets over Morecambe Bay. The modern summerhouse is fully insulated, double glazed and turf roofed. Equipped with a vinyl record player, maps, books, DVD’s and games to enjoy, this is a great chill out room to enjoy another gin & tonic (!) with views out to The Lake District mountains and fells. The outside space to the balconies and side is completely enclosed with safety height balconies ensuring children and pets are safe. If you are interested in learning to dive or a highly experienced diver Capernwray offers the finest freshwater diving in the UK. The dive school is a 5 minute stroll from the cottage Check in days are Friday or Monday for short breaks. During peak times our minimum stay is 7 nights commencing on Friday
