A beautiful rustic lake front home located on the Guadalupe River(Lake Dunlap). The home is between I -35 and I-10 (off of F.M. 725). It is 15 minutes from all major activities in New Braunfels. 20 minutes to San Marcos Outlet & 30 minutes from San Antonio DT.
You’ll love Jack's Cabin because of the views, the location, the ambiance, and the outdoors space. Jack's Cabin is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. Jack's Cabin is perfectly located on the premier spot of Lake Dunlap. Ample space and the views are spectacular. The ambiance is serene, and the outdoors space available is more than enough!
The home is located on one of the widest parts of Lake Dunlap which makes it great for swimming and water activities. The home is situated on 2 lots which provides 110 feet of waterfront area!
SPACIOUS is the word that best describes this property. All of the rooms are big, cozy and comfortable. It also features an ADA approved elevator in front. The owner lives in a separate unit in front of the property, so any needs or accommodations can be met quickly.
You will not find yourself feeling squeezed, cramped or closed-in at Jack’s Cabin! From the large front and backyards, to the oversized bedrooms, living room, and kitchen. Pots, pans, utensils and coffee maker are all provided. The 80 inch LED Flat Screen TV in the living room is HUGE! The Master Bedroom is spacious and accommodating with a private double vanity bathroom. It even has its own private balcony overlooking beautiful Lake Dunlap.
The home boasts three separate dining areas, Three separate decks for congregating, and a 50 ft. dock for fishing or just hanging out. The dock also provides your own swimming area out into the lake, with ladder for easy access.
Two kayaks with paddles are available for you to explore the lake. there are float tubes and multiple rafts provided for relaxing in the water as you watch the boats go by. Jack's Cabin even offers your own private boat ramp for jet skis or small boat, and your own private boat lift to store your watercraft during your stay.
There are two hammocks available for lounging, and an A-Frame swing on top of the deck overlooking the water.
In addition, there is a huge area directly under the house on a concrete slab for gathering, dining, BBQing, or just relaxing with a good book. Included underneath is a huge 1/4 inch stainless steel BBQ pit with firebox, and all the pecan wood that you would need for ribs, chicken, brisket, or steaks. If you prefer, a gas grill is also available. A burn pit and a chimenea for evening gatherings are also available.
A separate laundry room is available with a full washer and dryer for your use. Detergent is also available.

PLEASE NOTE:
As a result of the Lake Dunlap dam failure on May 14th, 2019, water activities at the lake are significantly restricted due to lack of water. However all nearby activities such as Schlitterbahn, The Bandit golf course, Tube schute at the Comal, and floating the Guadalupe are all still available. To offset this inconvenience, nightly rates have been significantly reduced.
