Ivy Cottage (Casa Hiedra) is a beautiful, old typical Andalusian country property, which is seeped in history. Set in the hamlet of Llano Almendra in Comares, it is surrounded by mountain views which protect us from those windy winter days therefore making it quite a sun trap. The characterful property overlooks the fantastic orange and lemon groves peppered with avocado trees. The citrus smell of the grove is part of the charm of staying at here. Having been our family home for many years it has been sympathetically restored and updated whilst keeping its original charm. Stepping into Casa Hiedra you walk straight into the lounge/dining room with sofa, log burner and table and chairs for 4/5 people. Up a couple of steps is the fully equip kitchen with gas hob, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, and double Belfast sink. Also off the lounge is the shower room with wash basin, toilet, bidet and shower. From the lounge/diner a narrow flight of stairs leads to three bedrooms. One single, one double, and a twin with a small dressing area which use to be part of an old hey loft. Some of the rooms in this cottage still have the original eucalyptus beams and cane ceilings. Outside the cottage is a picnic table and barbecue. This is opposite gated stairs leading down to the pool. Next door to Ivy Cottage is Lemon Grove Farmhouse which sleeps up to 9 guests. The pool and lower terrace areas are for the use of just these two properties. Part of the beauty of Ivy Cottage is the tranquility of its rural location and everything that comes with this, but at the same time having easy access to great local villages and there traditional fiestas. We are approximately a 30 minuet drive from our nearest beach torre del mar. The property has free WIFI
