Positive: I’m so happy I took a chance on this apartment, despite it only having one review (since it’s new on Booking). Things I loved the most: - The huge balcony/terrace (it had all you could ask for - table, chairs, armchairs, hammock and an amazing view) - The cleanliness, new furnitures and modern decor - The bed was amazing and AC worked wonderfully - The building being located in the inner city (very smooth to travel around) - The neighbourhood felt safe to some degree - There is a small park and beautiful church next to the building (I recommend going into the church, it’s very beautiful)
Negative: - If you are a light sleeper, the bells from the church will wake you up in the morning - The street outside is not very clean or beautiful (but most of the streets in Athen look like that) - The apartment is on the 5th floor and the elevator is very small (only fits 2 people with small bags - and it’s dangerous because it doesn’t have a safety door so you can’t stand too close to the door or something can get stuck and a serious accident can happen) - Although the apartment is modern and clean the building is not, and it was a bit tricky opening up the main door to the building - You can’t throw toiletpaper in the toilet because of a weak drain - It takes 25 minutes for the water to get warm in the shower (but as long as you heat up in time, this wont be a problem) - You never see the apartment owner, everything is communicated through Booking or Whatsapp (she answers very quick though) Some feedback to the owner: - I would suggest hanging the keys to open the lattice doors on a hook right next to the doors (it’s much easier to find them and to understand what they are for) - Putting a sign for the Wi-Fi code on the wall that you see when you come in to the apartment (easier to find, than in the livingroom) - Putting a clearer sign for the water heater (how it works) on the wall right below the buttons) - It was too much water in the bigger plants on the terrace outside, so much that the brownish water created not so beautiful stains on the terrace floor) - I would suggest to put out clearer instructions about everything in the hallway (on paper) - because most people don’t look for instructions in the Booking app - so it’s easy to miss them being sent there by the owner.
Summary: It was like finding a diamond in a pond, it was affordable and amazing!
