Positive: Location was wonderful, very close to the harbour and easily accessible by bus/train (minimal walking). We had no communication issues with Samson, our lovely contact person. Every room has windows (purportedly), which did make the small space more bearable. We were allowed to store our luggage somewhere after checkout; however, they were unattended so it was at our own risk.
Negative: The building itself (Chungking Mansion) was... an experience. Every time we entered or exited, there would be at least one foreign man trying to sell us something, and there was always a cockroach welcoming us at the ground floor lift. No housekeeping, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just wanted to put it out there. The rooms are REALLY SMALL. The pictures did not lie, but it was still shocking to see in person. There was hardly any space for two people to move around. With that said, our experience did match the price point - so I would recommend this guesthouse for anyone looking for a short and simple no-frills stay.
