Positive: Beautiful lake view location, lovely host, enough space for 2 cars to park, hot tub and decking to enjoy the view of the lake. Hot tubs get checked daily and refilled ready for the next people. Plenty of utensils in the kitchen and a selection of games and dvds to choose from should you wish.
Negative: The Lodge could do with some TLC as some things we noticed from a previous stay still hadn't been fixed eg broken sink in one of the bathrooms. Overall the lodge appeared mostly clean, but we had to hoover the living room carpet when we got there as it was covered in dog hair. The outdoor furniture could also do with a good clean. One of the girls at the next lodge which I believe is also owned by the host decided it would be a good idea to go swimming in the dirty lake and then get straight into the hottub which was a bit grim to see so its good that the hottubs get regularly cleaned and emptied on checkout! Booking.com hugely overcharge by a few hundred, so if you are going to book one of the lodges then book directly through the hosts websites.
