This home's greatest feature is the incredible views of the Bass River Marina and Horsefoot Cove, as well as natural wildlife in the seagrass. These exquisite nature and water views are phenomenal. Tidal creeks and inlets create a haven in the seagrass for observing amazing riverfront wildlife such as great blue herons, osprey, white egrets, sandpipers, geese, and ducks. You will hear birds singing and owls hooting. And no day is the same, as this breathtaking scene is ever changing with the tides, creating an abundance of wildlife interest on Bass River.
The back of the home and deck are facing west with no obstructions to the view. Sit back and relax on the expansive wrap-around deck and enjoy spectacular sunsets over salt marsh while observing this amazing riverfront wildlife. Watch boats come and go at the Bass River Marina.
Delight in life's simple pleasures and choose to grill lunches or dinner and enjoy dining at home outside. Focus on fun: toss a frisbee or football, or enjoy a good water gun fight on the outstanding lawn by day. Twirl sparklers on the lawn at night, and slurp popsicles in the yard. Much of this home allows you to indulge in amazing views from most rooms: the large kitchen, dining room (seats 6-8), adjoining living room and bedrooms all boast water views! The living space is open concept and is light, bright, roomy and comfortable.
There are 3 bedrooms - all with sweeping water views. The bedrooms are spaced out offering privacy. The bedrooms are called the Egret Sanctuary (2 Queens with slider to the deck), the Osprey Nest (2 Extra long twin beds- with king converter kit and a private balcony) and the Owls' Nest (Twin size bed, and a Bunk Bed with a twin over a full size bed and a trundle).
Egret Sanctuary has a half bathroom (toilet in closet, sink outside in bedroom) on the first floor. There is full bathroom with laundry on the first floor. Upstairs the Osprey Nest and the Owls' Nest share a full bathroom. And the must-have oversized outdoor shower is available for those who enjoy showering outdoors during the summer months.
For the Beachcombers
If you're a beach lover, West Dennis beach is close by - a mere 4 minute drive from the property. It is a mile long, beautiful, sandy, ocean beach on Nantucket Sound, where the waves smoothly and calmly hit the shore and the gulls soar overhead and the salt air tantalizes your senses. You will collect plenty of seashells here. It has plenty to do for the whole family: there's a playground, snack bar, and kite flying area, showers and many lifeguard stations, along with a large parking lot.
South Village Beach is another fantastic nearby beach option and is a little under 2 miles from "Seagrass Haven". It is a beautiful beach with clear refreshing water, minimal seaweed and an abundance of shells to collect. It is also ideal for those that just love to play on the beach as the sand is very soft. The beach is large with plenty of room to spread out. The sandbar is nice and one can enjoy riding the tidal waves. South Village Beach is at the mouth of the Swan Pond River with a great current that flows at low tide, which allows for a lazy river ride. Be advised that there is no snack bar or permanent bathroom/changing facilities.
However, if you prefer the pristine sand of the Dennis beaches on the Northside on the Cape Cod Bay, they are also easily accessible by car: Chapin Beach, Corporation Beach, Mayflower Beach should not be missed.

The Bass River Marina nearby has a nature boardwalk along the waterfront with access to 2 restaurants: Summer Shanty and Sundancer's. Grab an early dinner or cocktails, enjoy live music and then walk home to watch the sunset.
