Stunning elevated harbour and sea views in the beautiful Devon seaside town of Ilfracombe. Newly renovated spacious 4 bed property with decking. Tucked away off the beaten track but within (literally) a stones throw of the harbour accessed through a private communal nature garden. Ideal for families wanting to explore the Devon seaside in summer, walkers roaming the coastal path, surfers wanting to spend time in Croyde and Woolacombe or romantic winter breaks gazing out at the stunning view. 'Overboard' has been extensively renovated (new bathrooms, white goods, carpets, decking and full decoration 2019). And has 3 double bedrooms with the option to use the 1st floor lounge as a fourth. The bed in this room is a pull out day bed (king size) rather than an uncomfortable sofa bed. This would still leave a spacious open plan kitchen diner with sofas for the family to enjoy socially on the groundfloor. The home is pet friendly but we do ask that you restrict your dog/s to the open plan first floor accommodation. There is a stair gate to assist with this request. A high chair and travel cot are available on request. Of note, the property is tucked away on the harbour side. There is no direct road access, there is a path down from the main road above - on which there is parking. Alternatively there is a car park (holiday permits can be obtained) below the property- again accessed via a footpath. Both footpaths are steep and have some steps. As such it is not suitable for wheelchairs or those with limited mobility. However the advantage is that it is tucked away and to get to the town is a few minutes stroll through Rupertswood terrace lovely communal nature garden. Nestled on the dramatic North Coast of Devon in the UK, Ilfracombe has a long and fascinating maritime and fishing history. The town is now a very popular yet unspoiled holiday destination. Home to 'Verity', Damian Hirst's dramatic sculpture and Thomas Carr @ The Olive Room- a Michelin Star restaurant, Ilfracombe is definitely on the map. The Victorian terrace house is literally a stone throw from the town with far reaching views of the harbour, Verity, the Bristol Channel (and on a clear day Wales). North Devon is popular with families, surfers (minutes from top surf beaches Woolacombe and Croyde) and walkers who are tackling the Torr or South West coast path. Ilfracombe is also a short drive from Dartmoor National Park. North Devon is remote. You will need a car. Once installed in the house though, everything is walking distance and there is really no reason to leave. Put your feet up and drink in that view!
