Just four blocks from Bend’s vibrant downtown and signature Drake Park, this enchanting studio cottage sits on the banks of the scenic Deschutes River. Walk to downtown, the Old Mill shopping district, nearby brewpubs and restaurants, and the city’s rafting put-in, or make the short drive up the nearby Century Drive toward Mt. Bachelor for winter and summer recreation. The location doesn’t get any better for exploring all that Bend has to offer! The cottage is a one-room Master Suite. The European decor features a French Country-style queen bed, comfortable sofa (with double size built-in inflatable air mattress), a relaxing easy chair, and a porcelain Victorian, free-standing gas fireplace. A large cabinet houses a small refrigerator, microwave , and coffee maker for modern convenience. (Please note that the cottage does not have a full kitchen). The single bathroom features a country sink and an extra-large shower with hand-held sunflower shower head. Clothes hang in the single armoire closet with 2 deep drawers for additional storage. A 45-inch Smart HDTV with Blue Ray DVD player and cable service keep you entertained as you relax in the cozy living area. Gas heat from the fireplace keep you warm in the winter and an individual air-conditioning unit cools the summers. Hi-speed 5G enabled wireless internet service included. And the highlight: French doors open from the living area to a back patio with private dining table and chairs, plus a gas grill for absolutely delightful al fresco dining, with the river waters just a few feet away. Direct river access and gorgeous scenic views of river wildlife from just out your back door! *Please note: The cottage sits on the riverfront corner of a property that also has a house on it. We own/rent the 2 bedroom house to vetted VRBO guests for a minimum of 30 days. There is a shared driveway with designated spots for both cottage and house renters, and you’ll access the cottage via a garden path that runs along the side of the house backyard. We ask both cottage and house guests to respect each other’s privacy and we’ve never had an issue. The cottage has its own wonderful and very private back patio on the river bank and likely the only noise guests might notice is that of the nearby waterfowl - or human river paddlers and tubers - cruising by the back window.
