Positive: I Cuculi vacation home in Lucca was fantastic, I don't even know where to start. First of all, Nicola and Alice were welcoming and so friendly. They really made us feel comfortable and were always there for us and offered all the help we needed. The home itself is in the most beautiful location, the interior design is authentic and homely. We felt relaxed and did not want to leave! We received a complimentary bottle of wine, coffee pods, a big bottle of water and a cake! There is also a pool outside, we had plans for the day so didn't make use of it but if we had more time we definitely would have. The garden is beautiful and spacious and is a perfect place to sit with a drink. One of my favourite places I've stayed. I would definitely stay here again next time I visit and I'd recommend it to anyone who is in or around Lucca. More than worth it for the price. There is also a bus stop a 5 minute walk away that will take you to Pisa. Thank you so much Nicola and Alice 😊
Negative: The only problem we ran into was taxis. Coming from England and not knowing much Italian, we were using taxi apps such as Uber and WeTaxi- they were hit and miss. I would not rely on this. It is best to have a local taxi phone number handy. We told Nicola our problem and she called a taxi for us straight away as we are not great speaking Italian. This is not a bad point against the property, this is just something to be aware of if you are a tourist. Nicola is pleasant to talk to and she's always there if you need any help.
Summary: Perfect holiday home. Definitely be back.
