Baby Blue is a totally renovated beautiful beach house that is ready to welcome you and your family to Cape San Blas! With 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, this pet-friendly home comfortably sleeps 8 and sits in the perfect spot for you to enjoy a wonderful vacation. You will love the fantastic Gulf views from almost every room, as well as the huge screened porch that runs the entire width of the house. And being "first tier", you are only a few steps to the white sand and sparkling blue water.
When you arrive at Baby Blue, the first thing you notice is that there is plenty of parking for up to 4 cars, as well as room for a small boat. The laundry room is located in the carport on the ground level with an extra fridge for your convenience to store plenty of drinks or for fish and bait. Also stored in the laundry room are a paddle board that a the owner has provided for your enjoyment, along with 4 small sand chairs with a small rolling cart to take them to and from the beach. By the stairs, you'll find a shower with hot and cold water for rinsing off when you get back. There is also a large gas grill for cooking out and a picnic table.
Once you come up the stairs, everything is all on one level, which is a great benefit for most people. When you walk in the front door, you immediately appreciate the outstanding choices made by the owners. The colors, textures, and finishes are all soothing, peaceful and beautiful. The open-concept kitchen, living and dining area welcome you into the heart of the home. There is plenty of room for everyone to relax, prepare meals, eat together, watch TV, and just hang out. And with three sets of sliding glass doors onto the screened porch, you can appreciate how the outdoors comes in and becomes additional living space. And you immediately recognize that Baby Blue is going to be the perfect home-base for your vacation.
The kitchen has all stainless steel appliances including a large side-by-side refrigerator with water and ice in the door, an electric stove with a flat ceramic cooktop, an over-the-stove microwave, and a dishwasher. There is an abundance of space and a nice pantry cabinet for your groceries and supplies. The kitchen bar has plenty of room for 4 people to sit and eat, while the dining table seats 6. The living area is cozy with a comfortable sofa, several chairs, a nice TV, and a great ottoman (that doubles as game storage).
On one side of the common living area is the master bedroom, which is a wonderful space with plenty of room to unpack and settle in. There is a flat screen TV and a big comfortable king bed that offers a great place to relax after a full day on the beach. There is an en-suite bathroom with a toilet, a vanity, and a nice custom tiled shower with a bench and glass doors. From the master, there is a spectacular Gulf view through a sliding glass door that opens directly onto the large screened porch.
On the opposite side of the house is another king bedroom. This retreat is also large and comfortable with a wall-mounted flat screen TV and a sliding glass door offering a view of the Gulf and another walkout onto the screened porch. This king room shares a Jack & Jill bathroom with the adjacent bunk room. The bathroom has a toilet, a vanity, and a tub-shower combination with a custom tile surround and sliding glass doors.
The bunk room sleeps 4 with a single over a double bunk bed, plus an additional twin bed. There is a flat screen TV in the bunk room that can be used for gaming, DVD's, or for streaming (but you will need to use your own account). Or you can bring your own Roku or Amazon Fire stick or a gaming system to plug in and keep the kids entertained. This bedroom provides a great place for them to hang out and simply be together.
Baby Blue is centrally located on the north side of Cape San Blas near the Cape Tradin' Post (if they don't have it, you don't need it), Weber's Little Donut Shop (worth the wait), the ice cream & coffee shop (best milkshakes ever), St. Joe Shrimp Company (have lunch there or bring fresh steamed shrimp or fish back to enjoy at Baby Blue), and Peachy's (for great fish tacos). The house is also not far from Scallop Cove (with their growler beer station), the Sand Flea Rentals (where you can rent bicycles and beach gear), Beach Planet (which has tee-shirts, souvenirs, and beach toys), and Skully's (outdoor dining for a great low country boil). Most anything you might need is close by and convenient.
And if you crave a crystal clear swimming pool, there is a beautiful Olympic size pool available in Rish Park - about a mile up Cape San Blas road from Baby Blue. You will need a $6.00 daily park pass to enjoy the pool, but that pass will also give you access to our beautiful St. Joseph State Park!
