Positive: Outdated family run hotel struggling with corona aftermath and Ukrainian war. Great for budget travellers who want to explore lake Como and Lugano. When I arrived the cook was sleeping in the bar which was funny. <3 Rest of the staff was welcoming and polite and most spoke some english. Price of the room was very low, so I was not expecting much. Value for the money was good. Two course dinner (pasta in tomate sause + chicken with fries) and breakfast (caffe and croissant) was included. Nothing fancy but you will get your belly full. :) There are also free parking on the yard right next to the busy road. Coffee was good
Negative: Unfortunately room has very thin door, so all the noise from the hallway comes to room. I woke up in the morning staff yelling to each other in the hallway (not arguing, just too lazy to walk next to each other to speak lower voice). Also during the night I woke up once when other guests were arriving. My stay was in December and the room was not heated much. Radiators were on during the evening and in the morning, I was quite cold during the night and had to sleep with lots of clothing on (not the only reason). I am not sure if the bedsheets were changed after previous guest - I decided to turn the sheets and sleep with clothes on as they did not look clean. Pillow was foam rubber and mattress had seen better days (in the 80's). I did not find stairs to second floor - only access was by elevator which scared me in case of emergency (fire etc.) I feel bad to give low review as I can imagine the struggle of running small hotel. I would suggest to fix few rooms to better level (new bed, pillows and bedsheets) get better reviews as the occupancy rate seemed to be very low. Also put more effort to cleanliness and safety which are the two most important things)
