Positive: A reasonable option if you can’t find accommodation in Piombino due to price or lack of parking. Convenient for visiting Elba Island — train station is only 3–4 minutes away and there’s a bus nearby that takes you directly to Piombino port for the ferry. Bus arrives every 30 minutes to Piombino Port Works fine as a one-night stopover. Breakfast was acceptable. The area felt safe.
Negative: The hotel is old and overpriced for what it offers. Aside from breakfast, there’s nothing noteworthy. Nothing to do in the surrounding area — no shops, restaurants, or attractions. The nearest town is about a 30-minute walk away. Not suitable for a longer stay, only convenient as a transit stop.
Summary: OK for a short stop to reach Piombino Port by bus — otherwise, not worth it
