Neighborhood:
The home is located on a corner lot at the edge of the urban-rural divide in NE Bend. It is in a residential neighborhood with farmland across the street, quiet neighbors on one side, and a great family park with playground, swings, basketball court, and a large field located 2 short blocks south of the house. There are lots of food and shopping options within a 5 min drive, including Costco, Whole Foods, Old Navy, OnTap food trucks and several great coffee shops. It is only 10-12 min to either downtown or the Old Mill district for more shopping and eating choices, both in highly walkable areas. Pilot Butte is also 10 min away and boasts the most stunning 360 degree views in Bend. Park at the bottom and hike or bike to the top, or drive the seasonally accessible spiral road to the viewpoint and take it in on all sides. The hospital and urgent care are also less than 5 min away from the house. Mount Bachelor Ski Resort and the Cascade Lakes region are 25-30 min outside town and well worth the trip.
The space
Enjoy our 2-story, open concept home where you can’t miss the multiple Cascade Mountains views from the house and backyard. On the main level is the master suite with attached bathroom and walk in closet, a fully stocked chef’s kitchen with great coffee bar, a cozy living room with gas fireplace, dining room, garage, laundry room, and an additional 1/2 bath.
Our fully fenced, xeriscape backyard keeps water use down in our high desert region. You’ll have plenty of outdoor options with the deck and hot tub, access to a charcoal grill, a dining area and comfortable patio seating. Portable privacy screens are also available while using the hot tub. There is a water table and toys for the littles to enjoy water play outside as well.
Upstairs you’ll find a king bedroom with office space, a kids (or kid at heart) bedroom with toys and games, and a full bath. All bedrooms have smart TVs ready for your streaming login and closet and/or dresser space to unpack and store luggage. In the garage, we also have conveniently placed wall hooks/racks for your snowboards and kayaks or other outdoor gear.
Parking
There is space for 1 vehicle in the garage, compact vehicles will be most comfortable there, as well as 2 spots in driveway. Please be mindful to not block the sidewalk when parking in the driveway. While additional parking can also be found on the side street adjacent to the home, it is highly encouraged that guests park their vehicles in the 3 designated spots for the property.
Guest access
You will have access to the entire home, yard and garage except for the locked supplies closet on main floor.
Other things to note
The backyard features xeriscape landscaping for water conservation in the high desert. The house is facing a country road with varying traffic and speeds, so young children should be supervised in the front yard. We have a Ring doorbell at the front door and an exterior security camera on the front of the house.
