Hood); it's the perfect place to go for those wishing to escape their hectic lives and rejuvenate in a peaceful and natural environment.
Guests can relax and enjoy gorgeous sunsets from the expansive outdoor areas while communing with beautiful lavender, roses, sunflowers, herbs on this private estate. Downtown White Salmon is within a 5-minute drive.
The Zen View Experience offers beautiful gardens and outdoor spaces surrounding the 2 bedroom/2 bath, lower-level apartment. Soak in the hot tub while enjoying the fabulous views. This retreat space is located on the first floor of this custom-built modern NW farmhouse and includes a private entrance and gathering space with a new kitchen, heated floors, original artwork, and lovely furnishings. All of the bedding and towels are made from organic materials.
With a steady breeze, and at times a serious wind, this gorgeous section of the Cascade mountains offers endless views of vineyards, and orchards of cherry, apples, and pears. The powerful combination of the elements Earth, Water, Fire and Air meets at this spiritual vortex, a place most sacred to the original Native Americans who called this place home for 10,000 years.

Summary: Pros: Location is very convenient to White Salmon, WA (about 5 minutes) and Hood River, OR (about 20 minutes +$2 toll). Amazing view of Mt Hood. Pretty convenient to access the waterfalls and other points of interest. There were helpful notes placed everywhere. Cons We could hear the people upstairs walking and the other guest with us said she heard “something large” draining in the walls, she was so concerned that she got out of bed to see if the room was flooding. Not sure there’s any way to fix either of those complaints but guests maybe should be aware of more noise than would be expected. We were aware that this is a basement VRBO but it seemed extra noisy. The pillows and bed in our bedroom left a lot to be desired. The pillows seemed like flat hand-me-downs which were so uncomfortable that my fiancé got his sweater and folded it up to add some comfort but was ultimately unsuccessful. The mattress was flat and firm at best. Just not to our liking, may not bother others but don’t expect anything overly comfortable. A simple investment in pillows and decent mattress may help. The check in email looked a lot like a spam email and I deleted it mistakenly thinking so. When I messaged the property manager for the entry code (provided in the email that I thought was spam and subsequently deleted), they almost seemed accusatory that I hadn’t read the message on purpose. Definitely didn’t like that at all. They made it right and re-sent the email but it seemed unprofessional. Once we did get the check in code, the check in process was easy. Probably wouldn’t stay here again but it served a good purpose and had a great view. That was the best highlight.
