The serenity of the Sierra awaits at this beautiful tri-level chalet with open floor plan and lots of modern mountain charm! With 2300 square feet, 4 bedrooms plus loft, 2.5 bathrooms, and 2 decks, you will be perfectly equipped for your next getaway. Enter into the impressive great room with vaulted knotty pine ceilings and a stunning wall of windows, accompanied by a cozy gas log stove (there’s also a gas floor furnace to stay warm all year). The adjacent dining area and fully equipped kitchen round out the main floor and provide the perfect spot for family and friends to gather. Upstairs you’ll find a loft with games along with the master suite. Downstairs are the remainder of the bedrooms plus a foosball nook. Enjoy the private hot tub while gazing at the stars or barbecuing a meal after a long day at Bear Valley Ski Resort or Lake Alpine! Hot Tub Hideaway sleeps 8 guests in beds plus 2 more guests on the fold out sofa sleeper, for a total of 10 maximum capacity. The master suite is located upstairs and features a Cal King bed. The remaining three bedrooms are located on the lower floor. The second bedroom has 2 Twin beds, the third bedroom has a Queen bed, and the fourth bedroom has a Trundle bed (2 Twins). There is a double sofa sleeper in the great room. There is an attached full bathroom in the master suite, another full bathroom on the lower floor, and one half bathroom on the main floor. Amenities: Hot Tub, WiFi, 2 TVs, Games, Gas Log Stove, Fully-Equipped Kitchen, Gas BBQ (propane provided), Washer and Dryer. 240v EV charger. Linens and towels provided. Maximum 10 guests. Summary: Pros first: great location, nice mountain cabin in the mountains, hot tub, good sized kitchen. Check in process was smooth. But, the Cons drag this one down in a big way, especially for the cost: 1. Basement bedrooms (that's all of them except the massive master upstairs) have no furniture other than beds. No dresser, no night stands, nothing. The exception is the play room which doubles as a bedroom with a child's single bed. 2. No instructions for the basics specific to the house: which network to connect to, how to use thermostats, how to use any of the remote controls, and so on -- nothing. Be prepared to have to figure it all out. 3. Lack of basic care and attention to maintenance: broken ceiling light in kitchen, broken wall lamp in downstairs bedroom, spiderwebs, nail holes, TP dispenser not there (mounting holes were though), no coat hangers... 4. Basics -- no dishwasher soap when we checked in (we called, they brought it), no downstairs bathroom stuff -- no soap, shampoo -- we called, they said they do not provide it. But, oddly the massive upstairs bathroom had them. 5. Bedrooms all have space heaters -- if it's winter, like our stay, you'll need them. Start them up early, they take a while to warm the room. If the owners spend a little time regularly keeping up on small maintenance, buy some basic furniture downstairs, and leave instructions specific to the house, it would be great. I hope the owners make the effort, a little bit will go a long way.
