Vista Verde is a hostel with local owners of Mayan descent.
It all started with a dream. The story begins with a mother of six children, struggling hard to feed each of them. The owner, Celia, is 60 years old and previously worked in laundry, farming, and other jobs. Our first language is Q'eqchi Mayan and our second is Spanish, so we speak very little English.
If you want to connect with the local Mayan culture, we recommend visiting Vista Verde. Our staff will tell you about our roots, traditions, language, and customs.
Our concept is a rustic, eco-friendly hostel, imbued with the culture and traditions of Guatemala and LanquiÌn. We have attentive staff ready to help you with anything. All our rooms have mountain views.
We have an incredible pool overlooking the small town of LanquiÌn and an unforgettable sunrise.
Hostal Vista Verde is the first eco-friendly hostel of LanquiÌn origin, located at the entrance to LanquiÌn. For your convenience, the hostel offers a bar and restaurant. Breakfast is served daily (additional charge may apply). From the hostel, you can enjoy fantastic views of the mountains, the river, or the city.
Hostal Vista Verde is located near LanquiÌn, at the top of a small hill overlooking the city and the mountains, 15 minutes from the city center.
Vista Verde offers comfortable private and shared rooms. We have dormitories for up to 5 people and private rooms for 2 people. All rooms have shared bathrooms.
