Villa-Atlas Guest House Backpackers Malapascua is a new management former Villa Sandra Guesthouse hostel in the island of Malapascua 5minutes walk from the port, famous for its scuba diving (Thresher Sharks, Seahorses, Mandarin Fish and Lionfish), snorkeling and white sands beaches.Eco-friendly hostel with reggae vibes and Atlas Divers Diving Center with new equipment.
Villa-Atlas Guest House former Villa Sandra Guesthouse is the first backpackers' place and the only eco-friendly hostel in Malapascua. It is run by Marryrose & Serioja Glorie.
The guesthouse houses 4 cozy native bungalows - all with shared bathrooms, private balcony rooms with private bathrooms, Concrete Dormitories that can occupy 12 guests per dorm. Free linens, comfortable beds and mattresses, soft pillows, heavy duty ceiling fan and electric fan, convertible to be aircon dorms, dormitory shared toilets and bath with hot & cold shower., and a cozy restaurant that serves delicious veggie/vegan options, Thai food, Halal food and some savory Filipino food at reasonable prices! Once you're in the guesthouse, you'd be getting the feels of how the locals live on the island. We also have a chill-out hammock area upstairs, a deck view, a balcony lounge area, and an access to the rooftop so you can enjoy the best sunset view on the island!
We also invite everyone who wants to be a part of a positive change on the Island. We organize a feeding program on the weekends with the kids on the Island. You can volunteer and hangout with the kids on the island, teach them artwork, how to play musical instruments, environmental awareness, basic English, and we get to play fun games with them and enjoy a delicious snack after!

How to get there? Via commute ⤵ï¸
🚌 Go to Cebu North Bus terminal at SM City Cebu and look for a bus or van that's heading to New Maya Port (Fare is P300 for regular bus).
🕠Travel time from Cebu City to New Maya port is around 4-5 hours.
From Maya Port, you can hop on 🚤 a boat that's going to Malapascua Island (P200 boat fare). The boat ride is between 30 minutes or 1 hour long.
You can also locate the place by using Waze or Google Maps.

The Island of Malapascua is also famous for being one of the only places in the world where you can reliably dive with the legendary thresher sharks. During your stay we can help you to organise diving trips or even diving courses such as the open water or advanced.

Villa Atlas Guesthouse is at the center of The Village. It is close to local shops and bakeries, and a five minute walk to Bounty Beach, where most of of the island's dive shops and western-inspired restaurants are located. The nearest chill out beach is at Tepanee's, which is a 7-10 minute walk, where you can snorkel and swim to Dakit-Dakit Island to see beautiful corals and schools of fishes. The locals in Malapascua are friendly and would like to talk to travelers. They may even invite you to join them for a drink or a food trip!
