Situated in the Aska Adventure Area, which offers almost unlimited outdoor fun and unique experiences: Like to hike? You're minutes from trails with a wide of range of difficulty levels, easy to challenging. You're 35 minutes from the AT's Springer Mountain trail-head. Biking your bag? The area is well known for its world class road biking routes and the National Forest boasts some of the best mountain biking trails you will find anywhere east of the Mississippi. Want to hook the big one? Choose from multiple trout rivers just minutes from the property or wet your line at Lake Blue Ridge. Noontoola Creek Farms also offers a great fly fishing school. Lazy day of kayaking and/or tubing float your boat? The beautiful Toccoa River is just down the street. Shopping your bag? Its a short drive to either Blue Ridge, Blairsville, or Dahlonega. Gunning for a good time? Just down the street is the fabulous Noontoola Creek Farms Sporting Clays and Hunt Club. Seasonal hunting is also available in the Chattahoochee National Forest and in several of the wildlife management areas. Motorcycles make your heart race? You can enjoy the local world class roads or even make a day trip to the Tail of the Dragon, the Cherohala Skyway, Maggie Valley NC, The Great Smokey Mountains National Park, Highlands/Cashiers NC, Chattanooga TN, Little River Canyon AL, as well as the great city of Atlanta! For you more adventurous dual sport riders (like the owner), there are hundreds of miles of forest service roads as well as off road vehicle parks available. Dining out more your appetite? You can sample the local fare (fun and relaxed) as well as enjoying the "fine to funky" dining in the towns close by. Wine more to your taste? The N GA mountains are home to too many wineries to list here. Dahlonega GA is the home to a wide variety of offerings and is an easy drive from the cabin. Spend the day indulging yourself! Antiques make you feel nostalgic? N GA is rich with antique picking opportunities! Just don't too many carved bears home - the neighbors may begin to talk... While the property is close to all the action, our guests will still enjoy a peaceful and soothing hideaway back at the cabin. Your view from the double screen porches and hot tub is of your majestic National Forest which begins just across the foot bridge over the bubbling creek in the back yard. The large wooded lot features a gentle slope as well as a ramp for easy access for a wide range of guests. Each floor of the home features a private bedroom with bath. The Terrace level bedroom (King) has access to the lower screen porch, back yard and hot tub. This level also offers a game room with pool table and big screen TV, access to the screen porch and hot tub, a large full bath, and laundry. For our guests on the main level of the cabin, they will enjoy the comfortable bedroom (King) which offers private access to the upper level screen porch and wrap around decks. Just across the hall is a large bath with separate shower and soaking garden tub. The loft bedroom offers a lot of sleeping options with a queen bed as well as two twin beds. This space offers a full bath with a soaking garden tub. The open, fully equipped, Kitchen is bright, fun and right in the middle of the action. If it gets too hot in the kitchen, you can prepare your meals on the gas grill with side burner located conveniently on the side deck of the main level. The Great Room is truly the heart of the home. This gathering space offers a wood burning fireplace, plenty of comfortable seating, a big screen TV, sound system, and french doors on to the upper screen porch. The upper screen porch can be used for simply enjoying each other, taking in all the nature around you, or as a dining porch. If you slip out to the fire pit late in the afternoon and sit really still, our neighborhood deer herd may grace you with a visit. The regular herd count is seven but we have seen as many as fifteen on some rare occasions. As the sun goes down, you can start your fire and roast your somores and be lulled into a sleepy mood by the babbling brook just a few feet away. We want to give you fair warning however, you will most likely contract "Cabin Fever" during your stay. The only known treatment is return on a regular basis for a therapy session.
