This imposing three-storey holiday villa made of natural stone is in the historical little town Xewkija along the south coast of the sunny island of Gozo. You can enjoy a relaxing holiday here with plenty of privacy, far away from tourist noise.
The romantic farmhouse from the year 1850 was carefully renovated just recently and provided with modern amenities for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning (warm/cool) in all the rooms. Attention was paid to preserving the traditional elements. The floor tiles with Mediterranean ornaments, the solid natural stone walls and the rustic wooden ceiling beams tell the story of past times. A light living and dining room with an integrated open kitchen, six bedrooms and six very modern daylight bathrooms (four ensuite and two separate) await you. All six bedrooms function with the coin meter- pay as you go- system, can be used both for cooling and heating. The ground floor comprises the living room with a comfortable leather sofa and two matching armchairs, a TV, a DVD player and a dining table with eight chairs. You go through a round archway to the built-in kitchen in a rustic country style, equipped with a dishwasher, a gas stove, an oven, a fridge with a freezer compartment, a microwave, a kettle, a toaster and a coffee machine. On this floor there is also the first bedroom with a large double bed and an ensuite bathroom. All four ensuite bathrooms in the holiday villa are fitted with a shower cubicle, a washbasin with a wall mirror and a toilet. The separate bathroom on the ground floor has a bath, a large walk-in shower, a washbasin and a toilet. Wide stairs lead to the first floor with four bedrooms, three of which boast ensuite bathrooms and have a double bed. The fourth has two single beds that can be joined together as a double bed. Further stairs lead to the top floor with the last, sixth bedroom with two single beds (can also be joined) and a separate bathroom with a shower cubicle. A washing machine, a cot and a highchair are available. Plenty of bed linen and towels are provided and the reliable Internet connection in the villa can be used free of charge.
The bedroom on the top floor opens onto a large roof terrace affording an extensive panoramic vew over the roofs of the picturesque little town Xewkija. Down in the enclosed garden area, a private south-facing pool (15 x 24m) awaits you, surrounded by plenty of sun loungers. The grill area next to it on the sun terrace, with a table and chairs, invites you to enjoy leisurely meals. As the pool can be illuminated at night, you can turn night into day and swim a few rounds under a starry sky late at night.
Your holiday apartment is about 1km from the Mgarr ix-Xini bay with crystal clear water that is especially popular among divers. The centre of Xewkija with its majestic church, range of shops, colourful markets and a good choice of cafes and restaurants is within walking distance.
