Located at the road that goes to the Merascica beach, it is a light traffic road, and a calm zone. The beach is cca 1100 meters from our house. To come here you need a car. To come to island Cres, you need to take a ferry either at Valbiska (island Krk) and then go to Merag (island Cres), or at Brestova (Istra) and go to Porozina (Island Cres). From Merag to Stivan is 34,4 km (33 minutes), and from Porozina to Stivan you have to drive 53,3 km (1 hour, 31 minutes).
In the house there are two floors. Downstairs there is a big open space kitchen with a dinning room. The table is big. Also there is the couch, flat satellite tw, telephone....At the first floor there is one big bathroom with shower, toilet, washing mashine and a dryer. Before you enter the bathroom you will find Orbitrek (gym machine), that you can move at the living room, or you can just gym there near the bathroom. Upstairs, there are 2 rooms, that have a table, 2 chairs and a wardrobe. There is also one smallest room that only has a bed, and a wardrobe. At the opposite side of this room there is the big comfort bathroom with 2 wash basins, a big commode and a massage shower. All 3 bedrooms have a remote control Klarstein tower ventilator, and Klarstein remote control light ventilator. All the bedrooms are equipped with radiators.
A covered place with table and chairs, and a big bbq/grill. Small garden, with flowers and vegetables. Place where you can put your own bikes.
Notice, that this is an old house, and that the rooms and the bathroom with the massage shower are upstairs. So it is not suitable for wheelchairs, or people that have leg problem, or disabilities.. Also there is a small balcony upstairs. We suggest that you do not leave children out off attention, because it is danger if they run upstairs and downstairs, or if they decide to go to this small balcony alone. Also in front of the house is a road, that is not so busy, but during the summer months a little more traffic passes by to reach the beach.This is a small village, and as this is surounded with nature, and here people live in a healthy none polluted ambijent. They don't use herbicids, pesticids, and other toxic products, you can see all kind of small insects, bugs, spiders, scorpions, gecko's, and other little creatures. None of them are dangeraus or toxic. They live their live, as we live our live. Respect them, and they will respect you. If you are afraid to meet them, maybe it is better to rent something in the nearby towns.
The beach is cca 1100 meters from the house. It is possible to walk to it, drive a bike, or go by a vehicle. Cca 250 meters from the house is the Restaurant Nonina Konoba, where you can eat good food. On the way to the beach, cca 20 meters from our house, there is a small chapelle of St. Blaise. (the left side), cca 20 meters from this chappelle, on the right side, there is a path, where you can go and on the small hill wher you will find another old chappelle of All Saints. Here is a beautifull view to the sea, and the surrounding islands (Zeča, Unije...) At the beginning when you enter the Stivan Village, you will see and pass near the old Church of St John the patron of Stivan, that is celebrated at June 24th. The Saint Mess is every Sunday at 11 am. Notice that the nearest markets are in Martinscica, Miholascica, or Belej, at 10 min distance by vehicle, or a bigger supermarket near Cres Plodine distance 35 km from Stivan, or Lidl, Jadranka, and Konzum supermarkets in Mali Losinj, also distance 35 km from Stivan by vehicle. When you explore Stivan, you can go to explore the other small villages: Marascica, Miholascica and Vidovici. On the road from Stivan to Hrasta, at your right side you will pass near an abandoned village Padova. At the island Cres and Losinj, you have a lot of locations to visit: Beli the Preservation centre of the Griffon Vulture, Osor museum (famous from the Osor music events) in Veli Losinj Plavi Svijet Preservation centre for dolphins, museum Apoksiomen in Mali Lošinj, Fritzy Pallace in Mali Losinj, Kula in Veli Losinj, or just take the excursion boats and visit island Ilovik, Unije, Susak ...Just come, and you wont regreted.
