Casa Barlavento is on the exclusive Prainha complex, but tucked out the way with its own private pool and garden and gated parking.
The large beautiful complex of Prainha is 2.5 km from the centre of Alvor, 4 km from the centre of Portimão, 200 m from the sea. The communal areas are beautiful with 8 ha of lawn and manicured gardens for both play and lovely walks along the cliff top. When you rent Casa Barlavento you get access to 3 more swimming pools- the famous Atlantic Pool with stunning views , the hotel pools with separate childrens pool and another swimming pool 2 mins from our house perfect for lengths and a splash pool for toddlers and babies . All have sun beds if a change of scene from the beach or garden are required plus restaurants (seasonal availability) . Also on the complex is football, racquetball and tennis (extra), children's playground, plus of course our own private swimming pool in the garden. Plus a private pool and garden ( south facing) with ample loungers, awnings and table and chairs. Bright, tasteful furnishings: living/sleeping room with 1 sofabed ( charged as extra as house marketed for 6 guests) dining table and cable TV. Exit to the terrace. 1 room with 2 beds. Kitchen (oven, dishwasher, 4 ceramic glass hob hotplates, toaster, microwave, freezer) with dining table. Shower/WC. Upper floor: 1 room with 1 king bed bath/WC and double hand-basin. 1 room with 2 beds. Electric heating, air-conditioning. Located in the Prainha complex in a secluded south facing corner is what makes our house unique. As we use the house ourselves we make sure it has everything a family could possibly need with access to cable Tv, and all the luxuries like unlimited wifi, comfy beds, 3 huge roll out luxury awnings and lots of comfy furniture inside and outside. No need to drive as three beaches are literally 5 mins walk away ( by private lift or walk) plus the famous Albir boardwalk which takes you all the way to the beautiful fishing village of Alvor with an abundance of restaurants - makes for a lovely morning walk along the beach!
