Pure relaxation on 90 m² San Vigilio di Marebbe - the Dolomites within reach San Vigilio di Marebbe - or "Mareo", as the locals call it - is the northernmost municipality in Val Badia. It is made up of the villages of Pfarre, Welschellen, Zwischenwasser and the picturesque main town of St. Vigil at the foot of the Dolomites. Almost 1,300 inhabitants live in this picturesque mountain village at 1,200 metres above sea level. Ladin, an ancient Rhaeto-Romanic language, is spoken here - as everywhere in Val Badia - so tradition and modernity go hand in hand in San Vigilio, with traditional farms and modern infrastructure. And all this in the midst of a magnificent natural landscape, which is linked to the village by countless hiking trails. Almost 11,000 hectares of the Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park lie within the municipal area of Enneberg. The imposing Dolomite giants characterise the landscape. In summer for hiking, in winter for skiing on Kronplatz, one of the best ski areas in Europe, which can be reached directly from St. Vigil by lift.
