For bookings is a good 16 ft. Boat Hobby 460 with 25 hp Yamaha engine and E-Start available. Hobby 460 is an excellent boat for fishing, without a lot of frills, but with plenty of space on deck for fish boxes etc. There is no depth sounder or chart plotter on the boat, suitable for 3-4 anglers. If required, large, powerful extra boats can also be hired.
Swim jackets / aids are available for almost all sizes.

The vacation home Fagerstrand, in which there are a total of 3 vacation apartments, is located directly on the fjord near the harbor exit of the historic "Dutch town" Flekkefjord. The vacation apartment "Fagerstrand 2" is located on the jetty level of the house with a separate entrance and exit to the jetty on the fjord side, the property is neatly and functionally furnished and is beautifully sunny on the west side of the Flekkefjord. The jetty surrounding the house offers good conditions for a family and fishing vacation. From the property you can enjoy the beautiful location on the water until late in the evening and watch the hustle and bustle in the fjord.
Flekkefjord, also known as the "white Dutch town", not only offers a varied selection of restaurants, pubs and dance bars, but also a pedestrian zone with a wide range of shopping opportunities and other attractions. Everything can be easily explored on foot. Freshwater lakes invite you to take a refreshing swim or go trout fishing in summer. There is also the only waterskiing facility in southern Norway.

From Hirtshals (DK) to Kristiansand or Stavanger (N). We are happy to help you choose the cheapest ferries ( or ) and book them reliably on request. Flekkefjord is located halfway between Stavanger and Kristiansand. The distance to these cities is approx. 110 kilometers (journey time approx. 2 hours). The long-distance buses go directly to Flekkefjord from Kristiansand or Stavanger. There is another bus connection from Flekkefjord to the vicinity of your vacation home (the driver will stop on request).
Directions
After leaving the ferry/customs, follow the signs to Stavanger/Flekkefjord (E 39).
There are automatic toll booths on the route. Please log on to and register your vehicle there. If you wish to drive through the Autopass lanes without registering, you will later receive an invoice for the fees incurred. Leave the "E39" at the Flekkefjord exit and drive straight on through the traffic circle towards the town center. When you enter Flekkefjord, there are two petrol stations on the left-hand side of the road, behind them are several supermarkets (Coop, Spar, Rema 1000, KIWI), which are open until 9 and 10 p.m. during the week. In Flekkefjord (through road 44, Trolldalen, Brogaten) drive over the small canal bridge, the canal connects the outer harbor with the inner harbor. Continue on the through road out of the village. Fishing in the sea and fjords:
From where you are staying in the Flekkefjord and Abelnes region, you have excellent opportunities for sea trout and sea fishing, depending on the tides and the time of year.
The sea fish in this region are very species-rich. Especially for anglers, diving groups and fishing enthusiastic families with children, the quiet fjord location of the region offers many advantages, from where you can reach the best fishing areas. With our good boat you can easily reach the most famous fishing grounds in southern Norway.
These include the Flekkefjord, the bubble bay at Fjellsa (only 10-15 minutes away), the Vollesfjord and Strandsfjord at Andabelöy, Eidsfjorden, Stolsfjorden, Hidrasund and Fedafjord.
The wreck of the Gudrun, which sank off the harbor in Abelnes during World War II, is a popular attraction for divers from all over the world in spring, summer and autumn. On the shores off Grönnes in Flekkefjord there are good opportunities for mefo fishing and sea bass fishing. Other sea fish can also be caught here from land, depending on the tide. If you are interested in salmon or trout fishing, we recommend that you also visit the large freshwater lakes in the area and the rivers in Ana Sira or Kvinensdal (please note the closed seasons and the need for day tickets).
In good weather, you can even explore the south coast of Hidras, the Lista Plateau and Siragrunnen. Insider tips include the mussel bay in Vollesfjorden and the so-called "Pensioners' Bay" in the immediate vicinity of the house in Stolsfjorden.
The Siragrunnen and the fish-rich Listaplateau (also known as the soccer pitch because of the huge, sandy plateau, which is around 40-60 meters deep) can be reached by boat in good weather. However, these trips require careful nautical planning and really good weather conditions throughout the day.
It should be noted that you can also fish here in the Abelnes region on the open sea, which is one of the best fishing grounds with an impressive variety of fish species and amazing sizes in southern Norway. It is therefore important that you plan and weigh up your trips carefully. Please check the wind and wave height several times a day on the usual weather sites. Also follow the recommendations of the owners and the locals.
An insider tip is a wreck in the Listafjorden near Lista Fyr at a depth of 67 meters, where you can find impressive ling, sometimes also large cod and good pollack.
At and around the 'Pollackberg' in Listafjorden at a depth of 70 meters with its occurrence, strong sea fish, especially pollack, are regularly hooked, as our pictures prove. Ling, pollack and good cod can also be found directly south of the lighthouse, from 45 to 80 meters water depth, at the break-off noses.
Fishing in the Eidsfjord, near Cape Varnes and Stolsfjorden
The fishing area is located directly in front of the Eidsfjord with its two small skerries in the middle of the fjord, here are very good spots for pollack, cod and coalfish. The sandy bottom promises good catches of cod, ling and flatfish. Fishing in the fjord is possible every day. We have often fished in the Eidsfjorden and Stolsfjorden, including at the fjord entrances to the green cliffs with their stepped drop-offs and great depths, in the Stolsfjorden opposite or towards Cape Varnes with its famous pollack spots. There, at Cape Varnes, please fish at a safe distance from the steep banks. The pollack are abundant there among the underwater plants at shallow depths. Do not enter the small bays and harbors, beware of shallows.
In Eidsfjorden itself there are always cod, coalfish, pollack, ling, mackerel in summer, and occasionally salmon and sea trout when trolling. Flounder and plaice like to be found on sandy bottoms. This alternative is ideal in north-westerly winds when you can't go out. In easterly winds, trips are almost always possible. Please bear in mind that you are fishing here in the fjord just before the open sea, probably the best fishing area in southern Norway with a great variety of species and amazing fish sizes. Therefore, your trips should be well planned and considered.

Leisure tips, activities and attractions
We recommend evening visits to the restaurants and pubs in Flekkefjord, such as the Grand Hotel or the Maritim Hotel, which offer excellent cuisine. In addition, there is often live music and dancing at the weekend, which can also be reached by boat during the day. These trips are not permitted after dark. In the shopping centers you will find everything you need to store to your heart's content. In the harbor of Flekkefjord there is a boat filling station called "Groennes Marina" for boat diesel and gasoline. In Abelnes, on Andabelöy, there is also a land-based shop and a new boat filling station. Here you can only pay by card with Visa or Mastercard with PIN. Other car filling stations and ATMs are easy to find in the city area.
The "white" Flekkefjord offers a varied pedestrian zone with many stores, restaurants, pubs, dance bars and other attractions. There are constant events and performances here, from open-air concerts to other events. At the local diving club, you can organize diving tours by prior arrangement with the management. At the end of Flekkefjord harbor you will find the historic Grönnes fortress and the only sandy beach in the fjord with a diving platform. In summer, you should definitely take a boat trip to the popular bathing and barbecue island of Torsoy, which is located opposite Fjellsa. Boat insurance - hull:
Your boat is covered by hull insurance. The excess in the event of damage is 1000 euros. Personal belongings are not insured. The Koasko insurance is not liable for accidental damage suffered by persons traveling on the rental property. The renter is liable for damage to and loss of the boat if the damage is not covered by the insurance. Damage also includes consequential damage. The lessor/owner may retain the deposit paid until the damage has been repaired. The excess per case of damage is to be borne by the renter and may differ from the deposit. If the boat is returned free of defects, the deposit will be refunded immediately. Any damage not covered by the deposit or insurance must be replaced by the hirer immediately before departure. The hirer undertakes to notify the lessor/owner immediately of any damage, collisions, other unusual incidents or complaints.
Boating license:
For guests born before 01.01.1980, no license for motorboats of this class is required in Norway. For younger persons, a boating license for boats with more than 25 hp is mandatory.
Binding rules of conduct - liability of the hirer:
We expect strict abstinence from alcohol on board. This is solely for your safety.
The hirer is liable for any damage caused by themselves and also for any damage caused by other users of the boat. The use of the boat is at the renter's and all other users own risk. The hirer shall inform his crew in good time that they may need to take out appropriate insurance against loss events themselves before the start of the trip. In addition, the skipper must familiarize the crew with the boat technology and the terms of the contract and ensure that all passengers wear life jackets on the trips.
If fish cleaning is to be carried out on the boat or on an appropriate filleting table on the jetty, please dispose of the fish waste at sea and not in the harbour basin. Always cover fish waste (seagulls).
Restriction of area:
Voyages are only permitted in the adjacent and suitable waters of the home port and near the coast.
A minimum distance of 100 meters must be maintained from fish farms or similar facilities. Failure to comply with the navigation rules may result in immediate termination of the tenancy by the lessor/owner. Claims of the tenant are therefore deemed forfeited.
Handover - Return:
The rental period of the boat is generally bound to the rental period of the booked object.
Equipment and inventory will be handed over/taken over according to the checklist.
Location: Handover with driving instructions and return at the berth.
Handover: 17.00 h - 18:00 h or by arrangement with the owner
Return: by 10:30 h on the last day of hire or by arrangement with the owner.
Event. Delays must be reported to the owner immediately by telephone.
Cleaning the boat:
The hirer must clean the boat thoroughly after each outing. The hirer returns the boat in a refueled and cleaned condition, as it was handed over by the lessor. We would like to expressly point out that GRP boats should not be entered with black, staining soles. Cleaning afterwards is very difficult and requires a great deal of work on your part. We charge 150 euros for a boat that has not been properly cleaned.

Final cleaning: Some guests prefer to leave Norway at night or very early in the morning. Since the owner cannot organize the check-out at night, in this case the final cleaning (costs 70 euros) must be ordered in advance by the guest or paid directly on site.
