We are not going to exaggerate to make things look better than they are. Monasteria is located on a cobbled, free of car traffic street at the highest and oldest part of Andalusian "pueblo blanco". Coloring its reality is completely unnecessary.
White washed walls, blue windows and pink bougenvilla flowers create genuine Andalusian feel in our home. In Monasteria, you can see Moorish architecture with Arab influnce and you can feel reach Spanish history in our house that used to be an old monastery.
It is beautifully integrated into nature, between sea and mountains. Monasteria is set right on the border of the Tejada and Almijara Natural Parks. It is just six kilometers from a sea that you can see from our terrace. It is surrounded by mango and avocado orchards, olive trees and fields of wildflowers and herbs.
We spend days on sunny terraces, admiring sunrises with coffe and sunsets with Rioja, calming our sences with beautifull scenery. We like kayaking, diving, trekking and climbing local crags. Advantures start in the mountains just behind us and in the sea just in front of us.

Our home consists two houses conjoined by a Mediterranean garden.
The main building : Monasteria is an old Monastery which offers a kingsize bedroom, bathroom, open plan kitchen with lounge and dining area with day bed. The main part of Manasteria is a 50 square meters multipurpose area where you can cook, dine, play and relax. It is filled with lots of sunlight and kept its oryginal Moorish style.
On the other side of the garden, there is a light and very cosy 'Lemon House' – a separate accommodation with twin bedroom and bathroom. Lemon house being smaller than Monasteria still preserves its Andalusian style. Lovely brick arches, typical to local carpentry wardrobes, and a sizable window that opens to a tranquil grape vine patio.
Casa Lemon benefits from its own roof terrace with truly stunning views onto the Sea and surrounding mountains. This little house is so cute, perfect for a couple of teenagers, grandparents or perhaps a nanny.
