The historical Moffitt Manor is located downtown Altamont. High in the mountains of middle Tennessee stands the "House of Fortune". Owned by an old maid spinster of great wealth "Fannie Moffitt". The Manor has been completely renovated and restored with upscale hardwoods, ceramic flooring, elegant wall coverings in every room, 6 bedrooms (sleeps 14), 2 clawfoot tubs, 2 showers, chef's kitchen, numerous fireplaces, crystal imported chandeliers, 3 family rooms, 1 parlor elegant sitting room, 2 foyers and heavily decorated for Christmas. This home is 4460 square feet. On arrival, the Manor will be spotlessly clean, sanitized bed linens, clean towels and usually a stocked pantry and fridge. The owner is a fantastic southern cook and you get your choice of a catered Tennessee Country Meal or Gourmet Feast on the first night's stay. Walk outside the old victorian mansion to the lights of downtown Altamont. Take a walk around town, visit the local diner, enjoy the park across the street with a gazebo or simply stay in and snuggle with high-speed internet, NetFlix and cable or go for a hike at the local Stone door.
