This carefully restored 150 year old home is perhaps the oldest standing structure in all of Zion canyon and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places by the Department of Interior. Located literally 5 minutes from the main entrance to Zion National Park, you'll find yourself surrounded by giant pecan trees, plenty of yard to run around in and the virgin river meandering along the back of the property. This charming house will comfortably sleep 7 possibly 8. As you can see from the photos, the house is completely furnished with period antique furniture which will make your experience that much more charming. The main floor has a private bedroom with king size bed as well as attached private full bathroom with tub/shower. 3 bedrooms upstairs with 1 of them having a queen bed and attached private bathroom with shower. 1 upstairs bedroom has 2 double beds while the other bedroom has 1 double bed. There is a hallway bathroom with small tub/shower. The yard is large with plenty of shade and grass to enjoy during the hotter months, complete with tree swings for the kids. Spend your mornings and evenings rocking on the back porch and watching the sun change the colors on the Eagles crags. Rocking in the swings hanging from the 100+ year old pecan trees is just one of the many simple pleasures of the Telegraph house. Finding a serenity in the red rocks of Rockville makes a trip to Zion National Park perfect. A short 5 mile drive over the historic Rockville Bridge leads you to the gorgeous ghost town of Grafton where "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance kid" was filmed in 1969 starting Paul Newman and Robert Redford. As other movies were filmed in Grafton in the 1970's and 80's our own Telegraph House was also used in the sense of the movie "The Red Fury." Besides being 5 miles from the entrance to Zion National Park, his house is the perfect home base for day trips to Bryce Canyon, Red Cliffs Recreation area, Brian Head Ski Resort, Cedar City Shakespeare Festival, Tuacahn Theater, and even the Grand Canyon. Staying at the Telegraph house truly is the perfect way to enjoy all that Southern Utah has to offer. Because of the historic nature of the house absolutely no pets allowed, no smoking, as well as no guests that would cause blatant damage to the property.
