Our Cottage is a lovely little three-bedroom house, with a brand new kitchen with all the modern amenities, polished floorboards and newly painted, it has a really cosy feel. Situated just 4.5 km from the city, it is close to the CBD and has great public transport access.
Please note this is budget acommoation and does not come with staples.
The space
History
New Life Cottage owes it's name to the fact that the house was an old maternity hospital dating back to 1890, and was picked up and moved on a truck from the nearby suburb of St Johns Wood to it's present location. It is also located on a road which is a sacred Aboriginal path to Mount Cootha - called the place of the Honeybee Dreaming. So lots of history.
Guest access
Ashgrove shopping precinct and restaurants are just a 15 minute stroll or a 3 minute drive down the road. Ithaca Creek is around the corner and along this creek there is a walkway/bikeway that goes all the way to the city in one direction and is 30 minutes by foot into the bush and forest walks of Mount Cootha in the other direction.
Ashgrove West shopping centre is a 3 minute walk away. It has:

- an Indian restaurant
- a Gym
- a fish and chips takeaway
- a Turkish takeaway
- a liquor store

All three bedrooms radiate out from the large living room with adjacent dining area.
Our Cottage is one of two side-by-side semi-detached houses. We also have the other attached cottage is the other and they share a common internal wall.

Parking: Off-street parking is available in the bay adjacent to the house and on-street parking is available in the side-street nearby. Please note that there is a transit lane 4-7 pm Mon-Fri.
Our Cottage is perfect for accommodating families, couples or business travellers, whether holidaying, relocating or migrating.
