As featured in Garden & Gun Magazine, it's the most unique piece of property in all of Gilmer County/North Ga. The main log cabin has a master bedroom (queen) with an attached bath. It also features a bunk room and a main bathroom with a gorgeous stone shower. Most of the linens are from Restoration Hardware. Full-sized washer/dryer. Hot tub and large outdoor eating/entertainment area with gas grill. The first guest log cabin (aka The Koop) has a queen bed and a loft (2 twin beds) and stone-walled outdoor shower. The second guest log cabin (aka The Katrina House) is creek-side with a queen bed and a half-bath. The Dinner Barn is creek-side and features a horseshoe pit and eating/seating area, along with a bar, card playing table and darts. Large fire pit adjacent/looks out onto a long view of the valley. GaGa ball pit and trampoline. Turniptown Creek runs through the heart of the property, with trout fishing available right from private bridge. Hike up the mountain from front door to secluded out-of-the-way Civil War Cemetery. Wi-fi and Roku, but the property is really for those who want to get away from it all. Very rustic, very beautiful.
Please note: There is no central heat or air. In the warmer months, thanks to box AC units, the sleeping areas stay cool enough for comfortable sleeping, except for the master bedroom. It remains quite warm, despite large fans. During the colder months, we winterize the property.
Please note: No weddings, no exceptions. It requires special event insurance and staff to be present during the event that we do not have, nor do we have any interest in providing. Granted, it's a gorgeous setting for a wedding, but we are saving that option for one of our own children (if they so desire, someday). They should be the first and only ones to be married there.
