in 1830 "Ingleside" was named, built and designed by the famous author and poet Washington Irving. This stunning stone house has magnificent lake views from every room and the sunsets put on an amazing display directly across the road. The spacious four bedrooms have all new beds and linens, and the 3.5 baths are new as of 2020. You and yours will have plenty of space to work, entertain, play and hang out as this property has lots of room inside and out. The new 2020 kitchen is well appointed with an 8 Burner Hallman stove, white quartz counters and an extra large island for seating and food prep, as well as a cozy eating area next to a fireplace. An office is off the kitchen for working from home, quiet time, art studio or studying. An extra large dining room is well furnished and opens out to a stone patio with French doors and lake views. The beautiful living room boasts many shuttered windows and French doors lead out to a back stone courtyard to be completed Spring 2021. A den off the living room with separate entrance allows for another office or living room/den/kids room. This also opens to a stone patio with lake views as well. Two staircases add for privacy and interest. The expansive grounds give more entertaining, relaxing and playing space, as well as total PRIVACY. Within a few miles you will be in the "storybook" Village of Aurora, that has two restaurants, a womens clothing store, and the original home of Mackenzie Childs pottery. The brand new Spa and Conference center (opening Spring 2021) is a five minute drive and will have many facial and body treatment rooms as well as outdoor and indoor pools. The new Quarry Ridge Winery and Heart and Hands Winery are three minutes away. Wells College is in the Village, and Cornell in Ithaca is a scenic drive 45 minutes away. The Fingerlakes Wine Trail offers many options for wine and beer enthusiasts--many with outdoor dining and entertainment for the family. START MAKING MEMORIES HERE!
