Sea Star is a fabulous South Beach cottage, which would be an ideal spot for your next family vacation. Sea Star offers all the modern conveniences you'll need while vacationing on the island including new flat screen SMART televisions. This home interior blends with outdoor views of the sky and sea. Perched on a bluff in Killegray Ridge, this home is situated high enough to catch cooling ocean breezes and provide great views of the dunes of Killegray and Flora's Bluff. The spectacular Atlantic Ocean provides a relaxing backdrop for long porch visits. The beach is easily accessible by a private neighborhood boardwalk located across the street and is a mere two minute stroll away from the cottage. The first floor has a fully equipped kitchen adjoining a large living and dining room that will easily accommodate the entire family. The living area extends out to a large covered front porch, which is great for observation, conversation, and relaxation. The picnic table located on the additional back deck offers a great place for families to dine. Next to the kitchen is a bedroom suite with a queen bed and one set of bunks, a full bath and front porch. The master bedroom is located upstairs and offers a king, full bath, and a porch featuring sweeping views of the ocean, including even some glimpses of legendary Frying Pan Shoals. Down the hall from the master suite is another bedroom that includes a queen, a set of bunks, and a full bath. A Crofter Cottage is located across the back deck of the main house, next to the outdoor shower and picnic table. The Crofter Cottage offers a king bed, full bath, coffee maker and wine/beverage cooler. New in 2021 luggage racks, portable in-home doggie gate, portable in-home desk, picnic bench, gas grill arriving in March, built in beverage fridge and more. Summary: Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have rented a number of houses on Bald Head Island over the years and SEA STAR was by far the BEST! The views, the layout, the decorating, and the amenities were all top notch. We love to cook and the kitchen had every appliance and utensil we needed. We started off each day with a cup of coffee on one of the three balconies overlooking the shore. Every afternoon we had a glass of wine while we watched the sun set. We are already planning to stay at SEA STAR again next year as it was truly a 5 STAR experience!
