Welcome to the Hi Desert Hangout! A laid back but stylish spot just 6 mins from downtown Joshua Tree and 9 mins to the West Entrance of the park.
Our recently renovated home is great for couples, families, pups and friends looking to kick back and relax in the Hi Desert. The private and fully-fenced backyard, large 6-person hot tub, cozy firepit, BBQ grill, and new outdoor shower are perfect for taking in a desert evening after a day exploring the park. We hope you and your crew love it here!

- Large, covered outdoor patio with custom-built 8-ft picnic table with Japanese shou sugi ban finish
- Central A/C and Heat, controlled with Nest thermostat
- Comfortable work-from-home setup - high speed internet (500 mps) and dedicated workspace in one bedroom. Monitor, HDMI cords, Zoom light available upon request.

- LG washer/dryer available for use upon request
- Dog friendly! Yard is fully-fenced, ready for fetch and all the sniffs (please note pet rules)

The best part of the neighborhood: as you approach our home, you feel like you're already in the park without being in the park. Joshua Trees canvas the landscape on both sides of the road.
Our neighborhood is a couple miles south--and up the hill towards the park--from the main drag in Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree, Route 62. The added elevation affords incredible views over the valley to the north and west, especially at sunset, while mountains backdrop views to the south.
Our neighborhood itself features quiet, paved streets of single-family homes with large yards. The homes are adequately spaced apart, creating a community feel while maintaining a sense of tranquility and privacy.
While far from the hustle and bustle of big cities, you'll still have a great phone signal (in addition to our fast WiFi).
The towns of Joshua Tree & Yucca Valley have all the essentials found in typical small-town America, including 3 major grocery stores, multiple drug stores, great local eating options, medical services, etc.
We suggest most guests have a car for getting around as Uber/Lyft availability is sporadic. We offer 4 parking spots in our driveway for our guests (please no parking on the street).
Our house is a short drive to the national park entrance while being in a central location for guests looking to explore all the hi desert has to offer! Check out our guidebook for local recommendations!
Check In/Check Out:
Check in time is 4pm and check out time is 11am. Please let us know if you need early check-in or late check-out--we'll try to accommodate!
Pet Friendly:
We'd love for you to bring along your furry companion! One well-behaved pet allowed. We charge a $59 pet fee, paid at time of booking. Please, no pets allowed on the furniture or left alone in the house or yard. Please also dispose of any pet waste.
Firepit:
Propane fire pit is available for use all-year round. We have seating for 6 plus skewers for making s'mores under the stars.
Outdoor Grill:
We have everything you need to enjoy using our BBQ grill - prep table, grilling utensils, meat thermometer, and ample lighting for use a night.
Outdoor Shower (currently unavailable for use during winter):
Enjoy our brand new, hot water outdoor shower after a day in the park. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash all provided.
Hot Tub:
Not just a pretty picture, we wanted to be thoughtful about functional use. We provide towels, nearby towel hooks & drink holders, and a retractable clothing line for drying your wet bathing suits.
