Enjoy a relaxing island getaway in this beautifully appointed 2 bed room, 1 bath no-bank waterfront beach cottage. Heron Point Cottage sits at the end of Long Point, one of the most beautiful and private beaches on Whidbey Island. With 180 degree unobstructed views of Penn Cove, Mt Baker and Camano Island, the house is a place to get away from it all and relax.
The beautiful beachfront deck is a perfect place to watch the sun rise, grill up dinner and eat al fresco as the sun sets, unwind with a good book, or simply enjoy the views. Step off the deck onto the sandy beach where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll around the 700 feet of beachfront on Long Point. In summer build a beach fire where you can enjoy roasted marshmallows or mussels and clams you have dug from the beach; sunbathe, wiggle your toes in the sand, build driftwood sculptures and discover interesting intertidal life. In the winter the house is the perfect place to cozy up to the fire, read and listen to music. Year-round you can beach comb on the beach that is just for residents of the neighborhood. Look for treasures and watch the teaming bird-life on and around the point. Nature is at your doorstep at this unique and cozy cottage. Seals, bald eagles, deer and of course, great blue herons may visit you during your stay.
A mix of contemporary and traditional furnishings create a warm and welcoming feeling the moment you enter the beach house. Stunning views from every window let in light and magic. The beach house sleeps 6 and is an ideal destination for memorable vacations, celebrations, or quiet retreats. The owners have furnished the house with art and comfortable furniture meant to be lived in. The 'great room' features tall ceilings, a conversation area, gas fireplace, dining area, and a kitchen that is equipped with high end equipment and appliances. It is a welcoming place to sit and talk, curl up with a book, watch TV on the 42” smart TV or simply watch the day drift by.
The master bedroom features a king bed with double french doors leading onto a deck with direct views and access to the beach. The 2nd guest room has a queen bed and a loft bed for a child 8-16. Both bedrooms are equipped with 38” smart TV’s. There is a queen fold out sofa in the living room.

Heron Point Cottage is a 30 minute drive from the Clinton ferry dock and 2 miles south of Coupeville. Coupeville is a quaint historic town, nestled in the heart of Penn Cove where you'll find antiques, many handcrafted items from our established artist community, and fine dining. A short 10-minute drive from the cottage is a world-class bluff hike in Ebey’s Reserve and panoramic views of Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains. Coupeville hosts several summer weekend festivals as well as a variety of wineries/ tasting rooms. The Coupeville area is tranquil and charming and the place to be on Whidbey Island.
