Positive: This fine country house stands in a large garden at the end of a short drive through a small wood. So a lovely quiet rural location near to a choice of eateries at Ballina/Killaloe about 10 minutes away by car. We had a bedroom and a sitting room with tasteful artworks on the walls and truly comfortable chairs and bed. Our warmest thanks to Sean and family for their care during our stay, and particularly for his extra kindness in chasing after us when we’d left a ring of great sentimental value behind. Thoroughly recommend Heron House.
Negative: My only suggestion is to have a suitcase stand as we had to open our cases on the floor, and bending that low gets less easy with age!
Summary: Impressive ambience and comfort with unusually kind staff!
