We offer a large cabin suitable for family reunions or just a friends get-together at Mack’s Inn, a historic part of Island Park, Idaho, a world famous resort area that is adjacent to the Henry’s Fork of the Snake River. We are also 25 minutes from Yellowstone National Park. We offer this large luxury cabin year-round so that you can enjoy our wonderful winter wonderland as well as the summer fun.
This is a large 5 bedroom cabin, with beautiful log interiors, a spacious loft, and 3 bathrooms. A large fireplace is central to the living quarters and will provide warmth even in the coldest winters. (We supply the some wood to get you started.) Additional heating is from a propane-based forced air heater. We offer a total of 7 beds, each sleeping two people, 2 double bed foldaway couches and 2 twin fold away beds. We can accommodate up to 20 persons. There is no summer air-conditioning but that is rarely needed in this area.
The master bedroom features a cozy propane fireplace and large master bath.
We have 4 TV’s with DirectTV, and DSL WiFi internet throughout. Two TV's have Amazon Firestick for use with the Internet. There is good wireless cell coverage. The kids will love the Theater/game room with a large screen TV and huge bag bean chairs in the basement. The whole family will enjoy the indoor shuffleboard and fussball table. We also offer a selection of family board games.
You’ll love our a large custom kitchen with refrigerator, propane ovens, stove, sinks, coffee maker, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, and compactor. Our kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans, utensils, dishes, glasses, etc. You’ll find coffee, teas, condiments and snacks too.There is a dining table that will sit 12 people, plus a kitchen island with stools to allow several more for family meals.
For your outdoor cooking we offer a propane BBQ grill and a large fire ring for nightly get togethers around the campfire.
We also provide a separate washer/dryer room with two dryers for when the day gets a bit grimy from a day of heavy playing.
No pets are permitted. No smoking is allowed.
Our bathrooms offer a combination of tubs and showers. We supply adequate towels, pillows, bed sheets, blankets, soap, shampoos and toilet paper.
We provide small child items, like a high chair and a portable crib.
We offer a unique code to unlock our back door. There is not an owner on property but during the Summer months, the Yellowstone RV Park next door can help with any issues you might have. We will make sure you have a text or phone number to contact if you have questions or problems.
We are situated in a small village known as Mack’s Inn that is part of Island Park, Idaho. There are restaurants throughout Island Park and a very good Mexican restaurant within walking distance. The area has miles of snowmobile trails for winter recreation (see maps in the cabin), miles of off-road trails for summer, and many beautiful hiking trails. (Coffee Pot Rapids trails is a spectacular 2 – 3 mile hike along the river.) Yellowstone National Park is only about 25 minute drive from the cabin. Red Rock Lakes National Wildlife Refuge is a similar distance. Island Park offers spectacular water falls, springs, river floats, even class 4 rapids. In summer there is family fun theater nearby to attend when you need a rest from the daytime fun.
We are at about 6200 feet so even in summer, things can turn chilly at night. Bring great hiking shoes to be safe as you walk the many trails.
Wildlife is abundant, from moose to great blue herons. So, bring your camera.
You’ll need a vehicle for most activities, but there is a transportation company (Salt Lake Express) that will deliver you direct to our place from Salt Lake City airport, Idaho Falls airport or West Yellowstone airport (and many other points in-between.)
