Positive: Lovely quiet area, nice view overlooking the pond. Nice spacious lodge, and very comfortable and relaxing stay especially with the hot tub .
Negative: When arrived the key wasn’t in the key safe, the key safe was empty and open. Rang the emergency number with the reception closed over Christmas and the guy couldn’t help me because I couldn’t find a reference number and my post code didn’t bring anything up, out of curiosity I tried the door and it was open with keys on the side, he was puzzled why it was like that and said it shouldn’t be. What you would call the master bedroom with tv walk in wardrobe and on suite we settled for the night to notice the bed was actually broke, we looked under the bed and noticed the bar bent in the middle so in turn making both people roll into the middle, so couldn’t use that room. There was a used ladies razor left on the shower shelf with hairs in it and one of the shampoo bottles had already been used. Oven was abit dodgy, couldn’t stop the igniter clicking once oven was on, took a good few attempts every time using it to make it stop. Slightly lacking in pans, only had two , so making Christmas dinner was a little difficult, luckily we had brought a few items just incase. Price was a little high but can be expected over Xmas , just wish we could have used the main room during our stay for the price.
Summary: Nice stay in lodge but a few problems need ironing out to make it a perfect stay
