Set on an amazing piece of mountain property with two ponds, wild fruits, a spring, open space to play barefoot & hillside tree spaces to relax, this 3-cabin, multi-use property on 8 acres is a storybook place to make memories for a lifetime. Inside you’ll find Golden Tee and Galaga arcade games, 3 tvs stocked w movies and 2 full kitchens! Then, on top of being it's own destination, this property gives you private access to the highest density of waterfalls, trails, fly-fishing, tubing, hiking, swimming and exploring in all of Western NC, on 100's of acres of Nantahalla National Forest. The private trailhead is just one mile from the front door. (w/ private parking) Imagine having the best hiking destinations & water recreation in Western NC all to yourself, even in peak season..and this is it. There is simply no other property in the Blue Ridge Mountains that offers a private fantasy playland like this..We are very fortunate to own two of the only 7 properties with access to this private trail system & waterfall dense stretch of the WhiteWater River. The access point for the trails is 1 mile down the gravel road from the cabins, and there is parking at the trailhead, so our guests never have to deal with crowds or travel to experience what others have to hike miles to get to. With 7 named falls and a ton of fishing, tubing and swimming holes, it seems too good to be true, but it's real. We searched for years to find this Unicorn, finally did, and now love sharing it with our guests. Note: ALL the river and falls pictures shown, are part of what is available to our guests, and NOT taken at any public destinations. This is the best kept secret in the Smokies, and all locations shown are less than a one mile hike! Just 6 miles from downtown Cashiers, you are right in the middle of the best hiking, dining, shopping, golf and other activities that Western North Carolina has to offer. You can also go any direction from the property, and be at gorgeous public waterfalls in less than 3 miles, or you can just sit on any one of 7 porches and take in the incredible views from the cabins, go tubing in the large spring-fed pond, and enjoy private access to some of the most beautiful water adventures in all of Western NC. When it's crowded at other falls, you'll be playing in your own private heaven! The base rental includes the Main Tree House (3/3) & Lover's Retreat (1/1) - total of 4 private queen bedrooms with baths, a bunk in a living area, three super comfy couches, 3 living areas, two kitchens and a kitchenette - Sleeps 8-12 The optional Add-on is an amazing Kids Bunkhouse that sleeps 8 small or full-sized kids on a queen bed, 4 twin mattresses and two couches. (it is considered Bedroom 5 & 6) It's an open space, with 4 twin mattresses in the loft, and room for 4 on the queen bed and couches below. It has a tv, DVD player, electric heat, fans and a small/c unit, plus a Galaga arcade game! The perfect option for larger groups, especially when grownups and kids all want their own space. With this option, the property can handle 18 guests. See below for more details. The Lover’s Retreat - A 1 bed, 1 bath, chic, bright, romantic cabin with open views of the garden and pond. Two screened in porches and one sunning porch offer sumptuous lounging for coffee and wine, and the clawfoot tub will soak away your day in luxury. This cabin has a large kitchen, beautiful queen bed with 11" memory foam mattress, and a new comfy couch for reading, movie watching, or just snuggling while you watch the birds play outside. The couch is large enough to sleep an adult or child guest, and there is a washer/dryer. The Tree House - For the rustic retreat lover, this chic NEW 3 story, 3 bedroom (one is a beautiful loft) 3 bath cabin is a unique work of art; An amazing cabin with a rustic feel but sumptuous, custom decor and all the amenities. Each bedroom is as unique as it is comfortable, has it's own private bath, and the kitchen and living areas are right out of a custom cabin magazine. Here's the Layout: Bottom Floor - A Huge private covered porch leads to a full 1 bed, 1 bath apartment with it's own private entrance. There's a kitchenette, living area with sectional couch, custom 6 person pub table, chess/reading/gaming area and a super cozy elevated twin bunk for an additional guest. The couch is also big enough to sleep very comfortably. This is so much more than just an additional bedroom, it's perfect for 2-4 guests. The Main Floor - Another huge, elevated and partially covered porch offers beautiful views and breezes. You enter into an open living & kitchen area whose focal point is a custom built staircase crafted from trees on the property. The kitchen is a fully equipped chef's kitchen, and there's a table for 6 that doubles as an island. This level has a washer/dryer closet, and spa-like master suite with large walk-in shower and a private courtyard leading from the master to the other side of the cabin. The Loft - Not your average loft, this is one of our favorite spaces on the entire property! It has a huge open bedroom with privacy curtain, separate bath, reading area, and plenty of room to utilize the queen sized blowup mattress for additional guests. The view from the bed is private, and offers picture windows and colors glowing from the stained glass cathedral window. Lots of windows offer views and summer breezes to die for.. Add on options: The Kids Bunkhouse is heaven for either the young, or young at heart. This cabin is an upgrade to our normal pricing; It's designed for larger groups needing more sleeping space, especially for kids, and is exactly what you'd expect to find starring in a summer camp movie! It has electricity, fans and heat to watch movies, play games, play indoor Nerf basketball or just hang out on the porch and enjoy having another separate space. There's two comfy couches, a queen bed, and a cozy loft with 4 twin mattresses. This is a beautiful but primitive cabin with no running water or kitchen. Just imagine the ultimate mountain playhouse.. It comes stocked with movies, games, linens and the most comfortable couches east of the Mississippi. If you need more than 4 private bedrooms, a blowup queen mattress, couches and a twin bunk, ask us about this option.. Additional Notes: Connectivity - From this property, we're able to work, make calls over wifi as well as landline, and conduct Zoom meetings and attend school via online classes. The wifi is 30MBPS, so it's not high speed fiber, but it's the best one can get in the mountains. We're also in the process of adding an entire house backup automatic power supply, and a second satellite dedicated to Wifi, so that multiple users can have 30MBPS connectivity at once. The WiFi systems will have redundant power supplies so that even if the backup generator were to fail during a power outage, there will still be internet. And, the phone works with or without electricity. We're trying to offer the best combination package of connectivity available in Western NC, but there will little to no cell phone service at the house, or pretty much anywhere in the county that you plan to hike or drive, so plan for that, and feel free to use the landline as much as needed. On Linens & Laundry - There is a washing machine and two dryers, and each cabin comes with tons of local info and brochures. Note - this property can handle both large and small groups, but there's only so much laundry that can be done between guests, so we do have to limit the towels to 12-14. We provide all linens, blankets rags, dish towels etc, though, so it's just like a hotel, but if you have a favorite bath towel, it may be good to bring one if you're part of a large group, and we can't provide beach towels. But, with two dryers, you can keep all yours as fresh as you wish :) On Local info - We also provide an extensive welcome email with all kinds of inside information to help make vacation planning a breeze. Other Mountain things - The mountains are NATURE, and they come with all it's beauty as well as critters! The great thing is there are NO MOSQUITOES, but there are lighting bugs in summer around the ponds, woohoo!! If you are allergic to things like bee stings, definitely bring provisions just in case, as you are surround by national forest, and always be careful around slippery rocks and moving water, because nature can bite if you're not careful.
