Live like a local in this charming waterman's cottage nestled in the heart of old Hatteras village. Wake up to to the sound of crowing chickens and fishing boats heading out for the day. Coffee and breakfast on the wraparound porch will get you started before heading to the beach, fishing or riding bikes along the winding roads of Hatteras. Surrounded by boats, graveyards and sprawling lawns, enjoy one of the few remaining historic homes of the village with comforts of today. Summary: The property is as described in the listing. We had a great stay, Jesse was super great to work with. He answered any questions we had and provided anything we needed. He was extremely helpful when there was a chance the area would flood, he let us know where we could park our cars. The animals were great! The goat one goat was super friendly, the others would hang around but didn't really let us get too close. The house was definitely an older house and did not have ALL the amenities a new house would have, but if you love older homes it is a great place to stay!
