This is our third year and we love it – so peaceful and calm.” Halo House is, indeed, our dream vacation home - 3 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, on the water – light and airy and creatively designed, yet practical and cozy with an “at the beach” atmosphere. (Be sure to view the photos we've posted for HALO House and close by amenities you can walk to.) We share HALO House with renters from June through September and they have written rave reviews in our guest book. It is perfect for a family of 6 people, featuring a large upstairs master bedroom suite with a private deck, walk-in closet, and spacious master bath with a Jacuzzi tub and double sink. The open, multi-level floor plan features dramatic views of a pristine, residential waterfront setting. The high-ceiling great room includes a flat screen TV and DVD, and a sleep sofa for two additional people, for a maximum of 8. Two guest bedrooms with built-in furniture – one with a queen size bed and a wonderful water view, and the second with two twin size beds - are located on the main level down a separate hallway. WiFi is available throughout the house. The view from the wrap-around main level deck is serene – with a variety of attractive waterfront houses on the perimeter of a large lagoon that leads from the 25 foot private dock to the close by boat ramp and just a few minutes from open water. White Horse park, the “Central Park” of Ocean Pines is less than a 5 minute walk, and features a network of walking trails winding through woodlands to the beautiful St. Martin River, basketball courts and a skate board course for the young at heart, a playground with up-to-date equipment, the newly opened Ocean Pines Community Center, a community Gazebo for weekly entertainment, the farmer’s market, and a lovely craft shop staffed by volunteers. A slightly longer walk (10 minutes) or a very short drive takes you to the nearby optional swim and racquet club, with an Olympic size swimming pool, a water park for small children, tennis courts, and an adjacent mini-beach with a wonderful view which you can enjoy at no charge. Kayak and sailboat rentals are available. A 15 minute drive to Ocean City gets you to the Ocean Pines Beach Club with a beautiful sand beach, swimming pool, snack bar, changing rooms with showers and parking (parking pass is included - access to pools will be an additional cost to the guest.) A championship Robert Trent Jones golf course and country club is available in Ocean Pines and a Gary Player golf course adjacent to Ocean Pines, both just 5 minutes by car from HALO House, with numerous other courses in the area within a half hour's drive. You may choose to swim at any of the beautifully located pools, including the Swim and Racquet Club, or at the brand new Ocean Pines Yacht Club (for adults) or at the Sports Core. (Guest fees are charged for golf and for the pools) Additional fees may apply for some community amenities including pools, golf, tennis, etc., please inquire.
