Welcome to our latest vacation rental on the shores of main Gull Lake. My wife and I have owned and operated short-term rentals for many years now and we look forward to sharing this incredible property with you. ***During the winter months, this property sleeps 8 as the bunkhouse is winterized and unavailable November-April*** This property features a main house and a bunkhouse. Both overlook main Gull Lake in Brainerd, MN. This home sits on what's known as the Gold Coast of Gull (east side of the lake so you capture all the incredible sunsets). Many homes on VRBO promote their access to Gull - the "Gull chain", Upper Gull, "Gull access"...none of those are Gull Lake so don't be fooled by tricky ads that lead you to think you're getting the true lake experience. Brainerd Lakes Area natives know that there's no comparison to the real thing. Guests will enjoy level and easy access to the hard bottom lake, excellent fishing exists throughout the area where you can catch world-class Walleye, Bass and other game fish. You can have a fire in our outdoor fireplace (wood provided) and use a Weber gas grill on one of the large concrete patios. Enjoy suntanning on the massive dock system that is a full 6' wide (unheard of in most areas). Check-in @ 4pm, check-out at 11am (We cannot accommodate early check-ins during the summer season - Memorial Day thru Labor Day). +++The minimum length of stay is 3 days and the max is 28 days (after 28 it becomes a long term rental and different rules apply). If your exact dates aren't available on our calendar please send me a note to confirm that we are booked as we do have some weeks set aside for our own personal use. Please do not ask for a price adjustment.+++ Things to do nearby: > Visit one of the numerous restaurants on the lake...Ernie's, Craguns, Maddens, Dock 77, Grand View, Zorbaz and Bar Harbor and all accessible by water from this home > Boat up to the shallow area of the lake and hangout w/ other lake-goers > Mini-golf and go-carts are just south of the home and are located right along the main road near the cabin > Nearest liquor store is ~5 minutes away Additional home details/Other info: > Main House - 1 level walkout style home that has a master bedroom and bathroom on the main floor and a downstairs that is separated into different sleeping areas along with an additional bathroom > Bunkhouse has sleep accommodations for 6 (2 twin beds, one king bed - all new as-of 2021) > High-speed internet > Cable TV > Both the main house and bunkhouse have air conditioning > Kitchen is fully equipped with cooking utensils, cutlery, flatware and dinnerware for 14 > Washer and dryer on-site > Nice supply of towels and quality linens > Weber Propane grill on the patio > Outdoor furniture set on the patio facing the lake > Paved driveway with enough off-street parking for 6 vehicles > Stand-up paddle board available for use > Firewood > Brainerd is a safe community with a low crime rate. Keeping our guests safe is of paramount importance to us. Guests will be able to lock all entry doors and windows at their discretion during their stay. A Ring camera is trained on the driveway to ensure only authorized vehicles/people are entering the property. Who is this property right for? > Large families or multiple families who want space for adults and space for kids > People who want a lot of modern amenities and have no interest in "roughing it" > Water lovers...this property is located directly on the lake. Once you arrive the water is only a few steps away > Fisherman - Walleye, Large Mouth, Perch, Crappie and Sunfish can be caught all over the lake > Respectful people who know their liquor consumption limits, those who grasp the concept of noise control and who understand the importance of leaving a property in the same condition they found it. Who isn't this property right for? > People who want to party until the early hours of the morning. This just isn't the type of setting you're looking for. > Guests who want to bring their pets. We are an animal-free property. > People who want to get away and not see another person the entire time they're on vacation. Gull Lake is the premier destination in northern MN and because of that there is quite a bit of activity on it every day. > Parents who let their kids run wild. We're kid-friendly but they need supervision. > (Be aware that you must be 25+ in order to book) What do I need to bring? > Food, beverages, toiletries, extra ice/coolers, sun screen...things of that nature > Please view the rental agreement detailing the items we've agreed upon. Dates, number of guests, etc. Included will also be our Rental Rules. It's a set of very basic, common sense based rules that we ask each renter to follow. We are constantly evaluating our policies and rules so they are subject to change prior to your arrival. You will be alerted to any major changes via email. I don't have a boat, any suggestions? > Rent mine! I have a gorgeous Avalon pontoon that I rent for $1500/week as long as you're a capable operator and know boating etiquette. Send me a note if you're interested in learning more about this. What if we have problems during our stay? > Depending upon the issue, we can usually deploy a maintenance technician in short order. We do have an agreement with a local HVAC company in case you lose heat or air conditioning. They're available 24/7. **Turnover day is typically Friday.
