Fort Morgan is well known for its peaceful, laid-back atmosphere where vacationers can explore nature at the Bon Secour National Wildlife Sanctuary or the historic Civil War era Fort Morgan.
The wildlife refuge, which encompasses some of the state's last remaining undisturbed coastal barrier habitat, is home to a variety of wildlife, with more than 360 different species of birds documented on the site. Spring and fall welcome beautiful migratory bird populations as they travel between their breeding and wintering grounds. The refuge is also home to endangered species, including the loggerhead, Kemp's Ridley and green sea turtles as well as the Alabama Beach Mouse.
Historic Fort Morgan is situated on Mobile Point at the end of the scenic Fort Morgan Peninsula. Here, you'll find nature areas, a boat launch, a picnic area and beaches along with an on-site museum and opportunities to learn about the significant role the fort played in the Battle of Mobile Bay in August 1864.

Summary: Definitely will not be staying here again. The condo smelled terrible when we arrived. The dishwasher was backed up and the smell was awful. The balcony door handle going out from the master was broken and hanging off. The screen door was actually completely off and leaning against the wall on the balcony. Drawers in the guest room were broken. Beds were so bad/hard that even my 7 year old complained and preferred the couch. Until this bed, she has literally been happy sleeping anywhere. The internet was so slow that it was basically useless. Light bulbs were burned out, etc. And the furnishings are super outdated. Ex. Silk flower arrangements coated with dust and dirt, really old furnishings, etc. The kitchen has random items, so we ended ip making trips to the store to purchase containers, measuring spoons, etc. I left the measuring spoons for other renters to use. We did like the area and might consider a different condo in this same building if it was in better shape. We contacted VACASA who manages the property upon arrival about the issues and no one ever came to make repairs or to check the internet. I would send them pictures daily of the speed test that was literally .33 mbps download speed and 37.5 mbps for uploads and it was never addressed. They said they had contacted the people on site, but no one ever came to the room and the issue was never resolved. It is sad because it is a wonderful space. Just needs updates ASAP!
