With a large and newly furnished sitting room, which is situated upstairs for guests to enjoy the beautiful countryside views, and two separate balconies, the property offers comfort, space and a great opportunity to enjoy the surrounding countryside without even having to leave home.
The snug kitchen has a nice rustic feel and is fully equipped, including a De’Longhi Dolce Gusto Coffee Maker.
Once you’re ready to retire for the evening, there are comfy beds, and each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. There is a bath and shower in one of the bathrooms and a power shower in the other bathroom. Toiletries and towels are provided, as well as a hair dryer, ironing board and iron.
There is plenty of storage space under the stairs and elsewhere on the property if needed.
The apartment is always professionally cleaned for your comfort.

Guests will have access to the entire home! The grounds are gated and the property is furnished with a modern security system. Guests will be provided with means of independently accessing and exiting the property prior to arrival. There is a large drive to park vehicles. Own transport is recommended but taxis and Uber’s are readily available. The Edinburgh Gateway tram/rail station is also under five minutes drive away from the property if you wish to leave your car and travel into Edinburgh on public transport.

The property is set in a pocket of beautiful rural Scotland that is very close to Edinburgh and Edinburgh Airport. We are surrounded by rolling fields, woodland, and the river Almond is just at the bottom of one of the fields next to the property. Our closest and only neighbour lives about 150 metres away.
The property is easily accessible by public transport and car.
The nearest bus stop, Braehead Avenue, is a 22-minute walk.
Edinburgh Airport is a 12-minute drive from the property.
This property is a self-check-in property, and you will be requested to verify your identity before checking into the property. You can check in any time of the day as long as you respect our standard check-in time (3 p.m.).
Also, we charge £50 for each set of lost keys (security keys may cost more). There may be an additional cost to replace the locks for security purposes. So, please keep your keys safe.
There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers evidence that this rule has been breached (e.g smoke smell, ashes, butts, etc.), we fully reserve the right to charge a minimum of £300 for the smoking fee.
We do not allow parties, large gatherings, loud noises, or outside guests. Should we receive sufficient evidence of such activity, we reserve the right to cancel your stay (without a refund) and may involve a security team to evict you. Any associated cost will be charged to you via your security deposit. Local authorities may also be present (if required).
PLEASE NOTE, Edinburgh airport is located just to the west of our area, so a periodic low rumbling of aircraft is audible as they take off and land. This does not bother 99 per cent of our guests (or us when we stay at the property), as shown by our reviews, but please consider this if you have a special sensitivity to such things.
For those interested in historic features, there is a Grade A listed tower or drum “temple”, known as Craigiehall Temple, also located on the property. It’s spectacular Doric portico dates from the early 1700s and is ornately carved with the monogram and arms of the 1st Marquess of Annandale, a former owner of the Craigiehall Estate. A stay on the property offers a unique opportunity to see this.
In terms of walking trails around the property, these include along the picturesque River Almond to Crammond Beach and, in the other direction, walks around the Cammo Estate Nature Park, which is under 10 minutes’ walk away.
