Positive: A comfortable modern tastefully decorated apartment, pleasantly furnished. There was relevant information available from the host, however this was not provided in the initial booking information and turned out to include that the key collection is from a shop a 20 minute walk from the apartment, which is inconvenient and the apartment is on the 3rd floor -60 steps no lift. The apartment is out of the main areas of Nice, but there is an excellent public transport system making it easy to get into the central areas. There is a large supermarket very close. Support from the host was in the main responsive to difficulties, but does not provide 24 hour support. Adequate but basic kitchen, includes microwave, large fridge, small hob but no oven. Good shower Comfortable bed Good Wi-Fi
Negative: Key collection is from a shop a 20 minute walk from the apartment, you are provided with a code to give to the shop assistant, the code was not recognised and 3 separate codes had to be tried before eventually working .This involved us messaging the host and we were at the shop for almost an hour, waiting for replacement codes and trying to sort this out. On checkout the key has to be returned to the same shop. This is beyond inconvenient and not communicated until the day before arrival. We would suggest placing a key in a coded key box at the apartment. The apartment is on the 3rd floor - 60 steps, no lift. This information was not provided until after 'no free cancellation' fee paid. Conflicting information on the apartment location caused further confusion and we were unable to confirm whether the apartment was 2nd or 3rd floor. There is no identification on the apartment doors and the photographs showing the location are not detailed enough. - it is the 3rd floor, as you turn right it is the door facing at the end of the corridor No toiletries no basic supplies Inadequate linen. No top sheet for the bed and no cover on the duvet. No pillowcases for spare pillows A top sheet, hand soap and 2 small bottles of shower gel provided after complaint but not for 2days. No air conditioning or even a fan No local information provided relating to the apartment appliances or the local area.
