The beautiful Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar is worth the visit. The views from outside the monastery will take your breath away. Next door to the monastery is the palm-shaded Jardim do Morro. The gardens are a pleasant spot to take a seat and enjoy the views out over the river and Porto, which make this worth a visit, particularly at sunset when the river turns to gold.
If you go down the narrow and picturesque streets of Gaia, you’ll reach the riverside, where it’s possible to find the famous Port Wine Cellars. It’s also a great spot to have dinner, enjoy a glass of port wine and shop. An alternative to reach the riverside is by taking the Teleferico de Gaia (Gaia’s Cable Car).

Please note that for stays longer than 30 nights a fair use policy of the utilities will apply with a limit of 80€ included.
