Positive: Good breakfast, free parking at the property. The guesthouse itself in acceptable condition for a relatively low price, but there are old carpets, furniture, including the bed. The old refrigerator in the room we had to turn off from the contact, because it buzzed very loudly.
Negative: The behavior of the receptionist could become a case study of how not to handle guests. On the evening of check-in he mentioned the check-out time, we did not pay due attention to it, treating it rather as standard information that is given by guesthouse staff. On the day of check-out, he did not remind us that we had to check out by 10:00 am despite the fact that he had seen us at breakfast since 9 (we were the only guests there at the time). At 9:50 we came to reception and were reminded to check out and after packing quickly, we showed up at the front desk at 10:05 admitting our mistake and apologizing for the slight delay. Our apology was not met with acceptance but with an immediate outburst, a series of unkind comments, repeated over and over again, along the lines of “maybe you should only stay in hotels”, “You only had to listen when I mentioned it”. Our “big fault” ended up with unpleasant malice at all tourists who only cause problems. Trying to alleviate the situation and apologize again did not help, we only listened to more unpleasant words for a few minutes of delay. Thus, instead of starting the day of vacation in a good mood the atmosphere was spoiled. We remember the stay very unpleasantly.
