This professionally decorated condo – we call it The Haven – is ideally located just two miles from Winter Park town and resort for active winter-summer recreation. It features two decks, one with a spectacular view of 13,000-foot Byers Peak to the west and the slopes of Winter Park to the south. A free shuttle to the ski area is just a five-minute walk from the front door.
The Haven living area offers the best of mountain living to relax or entertain – over-stuffed furniture, a black slate entertainment table, gas fireplace, wifi, Smart TV with movies on-demand, and small personal library. The living area adjoins a bright, just-remodeled kitchen. The bar/eating counter is used for meals and can be the perfect gathering place to entertain.
The master suite, including full bath and jetted Jacuzzi, occupies all of the second floor. The king-size aspen log bed, warmed by a handmade Indian-print down comforter, oozes mountain luxury. Two more bedrooms with queen-size beds are on the main level. The Haven has three full bathrooms and a washer/dryer. And in-floor hot-water radiant heat assures you'll always have warm floors.
Some of the best scenic mountain biking in the world lies right outside The Haven’s front door on singletrack in the forests of Winter Park and Fraser, on bike paths which reach all the way to the ski area, or via the ski chairlifts up onto the bike trails. A short drive from the condo, the Indian Peaks Wilderness offers beautiful hikes into alpine forests and lakes. Less than 10 miles away is Pole Creek Golf Course, voted the best public course in Colorado.
Grand Lake, renowned as the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park, lies 40 miles up the road. It’s the snowmobile capital of Colorado and the perfect put-in for boating on three linked lakes in summer. Nearby, anglers will find Gold Medal trout fishing on the Williams Fork of the Colorado River or the Fraser River, running right outside the Waterside West complex.
