Serenity Sunset cottage a beautiful relaxing 1,447 sq. feet home away from home. The drive to Serenity Sunset Cottage is 1/2 mile off Blue Star on Lake MI Ave. At the end of the drive there are tall pine trees, the cottage and a breathtaking view of Lake MI. There is a grass front yard for outdoor games, sunbathing and watching the boats go by. Across the front is a spacious porch with 3 accesses into the house. . This area has two tables, many chairs, where people like to have outdoor picnics. The cottage has wood floors, all on one level, is limited handicap accessible.cottage, One bedroom on the front has a queen size bed and a sliding to go out on the porch. The kitchen is well supplied and a big counter for food preparations. Also the kitchen opens up to a nice living area. All of these rooms have great views of Lake MI. On the back of the house is bedroom two with a king size bed and bedroom three with a queen size bed. The two separate bathrooms have tile floors. One is with a double vanity, bath/shower and toilet. The other has a walk in shower, vanity, toilet and washer/ dryer. You need to bring your own bath, hand, kitchen and beach towels. Also all your own bedding sheets, pillow cases and blankets for the two queen size and one king size bed, mattress covers and pillows are provided. Other activities to enjoy in Saugatuck or South Haven are many festivals, several wineries and hard cider mills, Cranes Orchards for all seasonal fruit and fall corn maze, pumpkin fields, art galleries, antique shops along with Allegan Antique market held the last Sunday of the month thru October, unique shops, Kal- Haven bike trail, golf courses, horse back riding, and an great area to pick many types of fruit in season or buy them fresh from the Farmer's Market. Being private owners we have made many new friends, and would love to meet you. We do live next door and ask that you do not have loud parties, or late hours. We ask that you treat this home as you would your own, no pets, smoking, vaping, e-cigs or illegal drugs. If you have any questions please email or call me. I have had renters ask in 2019 about our beach. We are very sorry to tell you that due to higher than normal lake levels ( last report in Feb. that lake MI is 6 feet higher than a year ago) we have the misfortune of losing our stairs down the bluff to the lake. We had installed 127 stairs of which we now have about 45 left and the rest are washed out and there is NO beach. So please be kind and understand we do not like this happening but we have no control over this great lake and what has happened to our property. We live close to other public beaches that you can drive to within 5 to 10 miles. The cottage is safe and location is beautiful setting to view and enjoy the area. There are great bike areas, trails, golf courses and small towns for shopping.
