This spacious Ballater holiday home retains many stunning period features, including high ceilings, intricate cornicing, grand chandeliers and an impressive Victorian staircase. The lounge window seating offers a perfect spot to enjoy the morning sunshine with a coffee/newspaper. Late 2020 saw the addition of a large sun lounge being added to the open plan kitchen/dining room. With bi-fold doors opening out to the new patio area, this is a perfect space for dining, relaxing and entertaining with family and friends.
Granville has recently been upgraded to a high standard with new bathrooms (2016), kitchen, carpets, wood burner etc. The bold paint colour in the large lounge is in keeping with the period features that are on show throughout the house. Late 2020 saw the addition of a large sun lounge being added to the open plan kitchen/dining room. With bi-fold doors opening out to the new patio area, this is a perfect space for dining, relaxing and entertaining with family and friends.

Surrounded by glorious countryside Ballater is a picturesque Victorian village in the heart of Royal Deeside located in the Cairngorms National Park. Ballater offers a great choice of cafes, restaurants and pubs all within easy walking distance. There are lovely local shops, including the award winning butchers, deli and baker.
Ballater is the nearest town to Balmoral Castle, one of the holiday homes to the Royal Family. Nearby Royal Lochnagar Distillery produces one of Scotland’s most exclusive whiskies.
​In summer of 2018 the beautifully restored Victorian Railway Station reopened as a visitor centre. The stunning interior is home to a wonderful cafe and bistro, Carriages Ballater, owned by the Prince Charles Trust.
​A few miles to the south lies Loch Muick and the legendary mountain of ‘dark Lochnagar’ made famous by Lord Byron and Prince Charles who wrote a children’s book about ‘The Old Man of Lochnagar’. Red deer, golden eagles and grouse can be easily spotted on the eight mile footpath around the loch.
Ballater Golf Club boasts a fabulous 18-hole golf course situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Upper Deeside surrounded by glorious hills and wonderful views. The first tee is a mere 2 minute walk from Granville House.
