Those seeking relaxation and families have a lot to discover. Hesel has the largest forest area in East Friesland. Extensive walks / hikes in the forest or a visit to the former monastery (desert) serve for relaxation and for the little guests we have our adventure playground in the forest. Our small highlights include the crank ferry (for pedestrians and cyclists), where you can translate yourself from one bank to the other by hand.
